I love dogs. When people bring dogs into the office, I love having them around. It is nice to have a furry friend, and it lowers the stress level of the office.

What are your thoughts on whether dogs should be allowed in the office?

Nope. Bad idea. Petsmart tried it in their corporate office a few years ago. At first it was okay. People brought their small dogs and life was good. Then people said well why can't I bring my cat. So okay, then there were cats and dogs. Then other said, well my lizard is just as trained as a cat so I should be able to bring it too. Okay, then came the birds, a few ferretts, a python and some rabbits. Well in no time it looked like Noah's F**ckin Ark. And the carpets smelled like feces, urine and vomit continuously. People were complaining about noises levels, distractions, and there were at least 2 demonstrations of the food chain theory put into practice.
Bottom line, don't even open that door. Unless the animals are going to be on the payroll, leave them at home.
It's kinda like "Casual Day" - it started off alright with people wearing jeans on Friday, but it quickly degraded into dudes walking around in their bathrobes.

there is not any regulation adversarial to having dogs contained in the artwork position. that is all as a lot because the owner/the boss of the artwork position. i take advantage of to convey m canines into the commercial company each and every of the time. If yet another costumer/affected human being has a difficulty with it then it ought to correctly be presented as a lot because the boss that the guy with the canines might want to study about the problem. possibly also be requested to go away the canines at residing house any further. No criminal subject matters must be presented adversarial to you for having a canines contained in the artwork position.

I think it's a FABULOUS idea, as long as there are rules set about bringing in dogs, and everyone understands them. They DO help bring stress levels down, and even help the dog by being around others instead of being alone all day. I think it would be awesome if dogs could come to work with me!!!

I work at a veterinarian clinic, so we have dogs in the office all the time. The doctor brings her dogs! I would love to have dogs if I worked in an office, but many people are allergic to them and some people won't clean up after their pet so it could cause many problems in the work place.

Well, the difference between dogs and other domestic animals is that dogs are pack animals. Cats and lizards aren't. Dogs actually need time with humans (their pack) each day and if people work long hours without being able to be with their dogs, it can be detrimental to the dog.

I think that obedience-tested dogs (such as dogs who have earned their CGC title) are fine for the office, as long as your coworkers are fine with it. Especially if you have an office with a door, you can just shut your door and no one even has to deal with your dog.

I took one of my dogs to work with me yesterday. I have an office with a door so most of the day we were just chilling in there with the door shut. But then someone else came in with his new Australian Shepherd puppy and we had a dog playdate in my office. This morning I took my other dog in for a couple of hours while I got some stuff done. He did bark twice because he was sleeping and someone shut an office door and it startled him. So, I finished up what I was doing and walked home with him.

I love dogs. As a matter of fact, I have 4 of them but there's a time and place for all things and an office building is just not one of them. Yes, they reduce stress, and yes they are great to have around but would you take babies to an office? I wouldn't because it would be to big of a distraction.

Why Not? As long as they are properly cared for, he/she is obedient and no one else opposes to the animal been there then it should be fun!- I'm assuming u already know what a responsibility it is to have a pet, to walk them and feed them and everything else...... In my last Job, the main office had 2 cats living there, the office staff took turns every week to feed them and clean after them and over the weekend they left enough food and water for them.

I used to love traveling down there for trainings cause i knew i was gonna get a chance to play with them!

I totally agree. It would change the whole level of stress. Now... unless there is a dog that is annoying and wont play well with others. Then it might be a distraction. There will always be someone that will ruin it for everyone else

If it's a well-trained dog, sure!

There was a book store I used to love visiting, and the owners had a large dog they would bring with them. I went as much to see the dog as to get books.

Dogs in most states are allowed ONLY IF they are leader dogs for the blind or dogs who otherwise assist the handicapped.

I also know it is legal in parts of Florida to take any dog on a leash to a resturant!!!!!!!
