Thanks for everyone's answer again!! ^_^
One more question, who has any idea about the over weight fees charge? I heard that it's very expensive! and, does the airline would allow one more suitcase? (such as KLM airline)

Don't worry too much pet.
There's probably quite a few people travelling who are in exactly the same situation, and by next week the rules may have been relaxed.
If there is nothing you can leave here, then I would have to suggest that you pay the excess baggage. My suitcase was too heavy once and it was only about £10 that I had to pay.
My best advice is to wait a couple of days to see if the panic dies down and then check with your airline and see how much the excess baggage would be.
But don't panic, there will be lots of other people in your situation and the check in staff will be there to help.
It will be fine.

According to the news I've seen, they will relax the extra baggage fees while this is going on. You can carry ESSENTIAL items (like nappies etc) in clear plastic bags. Your best bet is to check one bag with all the stuff you'll need right after you land, so it's in easy reach. As far as your notebook goes; Bring a crayon or marker (less likely to be seen as dangerous) and ask for paper on the plane. The attendants often have a few blank bits around. Try and ship clothes and less heavy things now. That should make a bit more room for your other stuff. I had to fly over with a desktop PC, laptop, phone, all sorts of other electronics, etc a few months after 9-11 from Washington DC. It's a headache, and a bit irritating, but not as bad as it seems once you're in it all.

You can either pay excess charge on an over-weight baggage or go to the post office and post some things back home. Remember to wrap up your laptop well in your luggage, and remove the battery, as the airline won't pay for a damaged laptop

Can you really not manage for a couple of hours without your trappings? Whats more important, your notebook or your life?
Personally, I think all aircraft cabins will be far better without the racket from stereo headphones and continual tap tapping. Anyone on long haul will have films etc to watch, what is the problem, I do wish people would see this situation for what it really is, a matter of life or death!

i don't think you'll need a laptop, ds and an ipod, just take the one you use most with you, as for teddies, they can go in your suitcase. wet wipes are a good idea and maybe take an extra jacket/jumper incase you get cold on the flight. just have some fun and dont worry about anything else

You'll probably have to pay the excess baggage charge.
It's harsh, but better than being blown up.

you can only carry.... passports travel details. keys and baby food etc, NO laptops, ipods or telephones.. they all have to go into your suitcase.... you could always hire a locker at the airport or local railway station....
