I use different cat litters all the time as i have two indoor cats the only thing is that i start to believe they smell after a while. Is there a good cat litter out there that will prevent the smell as i am very clean and can`t stand any bad smells

City Pearl or similar, available from Sainsbury's, Tesco do their own, equally good version. It is supposed to last a month with one cat, but I can only make it go 3 weeks max, ten days with two cats. It is made of some sort of whitish crystal which absorbs odours and moisture, and has some blue deodorising pearls mixed in with it. Obviously you need to scoop the poop out daily, but it is usually dried out by the time you do, so far less offensive. This is my favourite, but it is slightly pricier, if not, I just get cheap as chips fullers earth, as this forms clumps and is therefore easy to remove both types of mess and keep the smell down. If I do that, I buy a can of Kitty Fresh deodorising powder, which really helps.

I'm exactly like you!!! I have 2 indoor only cats and I'm a very clean person who can't stand the smell of a stinky litter box. I've used Fresh Step Clay Cat Litter for over two years now and it is truly the best!!! it is made with odor control and keeps your house, well, FRESH!!! my two kitties have never ever had a problem using this brand of litter, they love it. I buy the bag (not the box) because the bag tends to have big chuncks rather than sand in it. I don't like sand cat litter thrown all around the house. the chuncks I just easily pick up and throw them back in the litterbox. I would recommend this brand of cat litter to anybody and would never use any other kind of litter! oh, and it sells for a reasonably good price too. I buy the biggest bag they sell. anybody who walks in the house doesn't even know I have cats, unless of course they see one of them walk by. HIH!! Good Luck!! =^-^=

Even if you use scoopable litter it will still hold smells and needs to be dumped every week. There are some on the market that say you can use them for a month but it has been found that cats that use the crystals will start having urinary tract problems. And they still smell. I use a littermate litter box and that helps with the smells. Then each week I just scoop the remaining litter into the holding pan and dump it. Helps me!

I have an indoor cat and was instructed on what litter to use by her breeder - it is Beauti-Cat. I get it from Sainsburys and it is incredible. Before I used to use the clay ones, but this is little wood pellets and when it is wet it turns to sawdust. I have a smallish flat and this keeps the smell away!!! It is without a doubt the best product ever and far better than anything clay! Highly receommended!

I use Tidy Cats scoopable litter. Ideally, the cat box should be scooped after every visit. Change the litter once a week. The Tidy Cats Crystal formula seems to work very well.

I use Arm & Hammer, the baking soda keeps the smell at bay but you may just want to clean it out more often. We have out two litter boxes in different areas of the house and we clean one of the two out each day. No one would know that we have cats.

My husband and I used to buy the cheapest litter, like from the dollar store, keep baking soda in the frezzer, and then mix them together. You have to put the whole box of baking soda, we had 2 cats using the same box as well and I was pregnant when this was going on, as you may know pregnant women can smell any and everything...LOL It worked for us, just try it! I hope I could be of some help...

I have three cats and use Tidy Cats. I alternate b/n the multiple cats formula and the one that locks in the odor. They recently changed the formula and it works a lot better. Less dusty and more of a fresh/clean smell.
