Well Friends, I have to give a speech on the morning of the Independence Day on August 15. Now, I don't want this to be the usual blah blah thing.... I want it to be more to the point and future based. Your valuable suggestions shall be appreciated. And please give me some good starting lines.i.e. Lines to start off the speech with.

well you might begin with a quote from the original proclamation of freedom speech, then speak about current freedoms and what we must do ensure liberty in the future, then wrap it up with personal responsibility for seeing those things done (get the listener involved) and say something motivational to encourage them. always end on a high note.

Well li guess you need to make it really different, if you need to make a difference....Start with telling the history about india....slowly to the present...dont stay in the present for long...go directly intot he future and finalyl express your views ---like how you want the future of india to be...

Start with the 1700 and 1800---like how was india then.....a big country run by many different kings who never were ready to unite...but then the British came and thats when we united.....we fought our way through,..,,we fought for everything....and thts been in our blood....courage...unity and self defence......thats a typical Indian.....but should we wait for another invasion to change? (use harsh voice...get the power there..and take everybody;s attention)...NO.....guys, come on think about the present India....we gained our independence....indiands are always united....we have views for the future...but will it ever be fulfilled...if we need to get it fulfilled, nows the time to act for it....every thing needs a little patience..but the patience comes into effect only after we have done something...India is having an economic boom now.....yes, even Bill Gates is investing in India coz he sees a future in India....but we can gain more attention.....and we need to...and i am sure, with such strong views, we will be able to gain it, provided that we still say united, whether it be north or south india.......

express your views for the future...just make it strong....

Please let me know, how it goes on....i'm sure you'll do well....just keep confidence....i'm sure they'll love you..just use appropraite language..and treat everyone and everything with respect...but raise your voice when needed to proclaime power and get control over the audience okie?? lemme know soon......Jai Hind

Luv,
M.S.N.

It all depends on what's the topic of it.. But a good way is to start with a story, or something you have experienced before. Just want to share one of my favourite speech, hope you can take some reference from it...
