Everyday I have to get up at about 7:10 to have enough time to get ready for work. However, I usually lay in bed until close to 8:00, skip showering, rush around really quickly and get to work 10 - 15 mins late.

I don't think it's from not getting enough sleep. I go to bed around 11:00. I don't have a hard time falling asleep. I usually wake up once in the middle of the night, around 4:30 am, to pee, but then I fall right back to sleep. I usually wake up before my alarm even goes off. I usually wake up at 6:55 and my alarm is set for 7:10.

However, I just don't want to get out of bed in the morning. I guess the only way to describe it is that I just don't want to. I don't feel like it. So I lay there and procrastinate.

Does anyone have any advice or tips for getting my butt out of bed on time?

It could be depression. Do you have any other symptoms of that?

Also, maybe you need a better reason to get up and get to work. Maybe you could find a more fulfilling job.

Beyond that, I think it's just a question of will power. No trick or gimmick will make you get up if you aren't willing.

Put your alarm clock on the otherside of the room. Some place where you will have to get OUT of bed to turn it off. That way, you are already out of bed, and awake.. now you can start your day. Once you do it for a few days, your body will be used to it and it won't be a problem for you anymore. You DO have to stick it out though. No cheating!!

If you keep showing up for work late, pretty soon you won't have a job to show up late to anymore! When you go looking for another job, your job now will mention how you could never show up to work on time and it will reflect badly on you.

maybe there is no positive mental motivation to get out of bed and go to Work... what do you do?

Do you have good friends at work, are you happy in your profession, do you find yourself day dreaming of something else to do all day, and can yuo really say that your life is happy socially and relationshipwise?

Perhaps you're hyopglycemic... in which case eating some eggs for breakfast might help :D

Just a suggestion.

First, get to bed an hour earlier.

As to the second part, yeah, what is out there for you? I feel the same way.
