This is not a war over Israel. It is a war against an oppressive, violent, and dictatorial culture and religion called Islam.

The Israel-Palestinian conflict has never been about a state for the Palestinians. There has never been any biblical, historical, or factual basis for a Palestinian state. Between 1948 and 1967, when Gaza was under Egyptian rule, and Judea and Sumeria (including East Jerusalem) was under Jordanian rule, NEVER ONCE was there an effort to create a Palestinian state. It was only after Israel reunited Jerusalem after winning the war in 1967, that the Arabs were up in arms. All this time they thought that they could crush Israel, and the trouble will be done; they could stop Israel from re-establishing its kingdom (a sovereignty that IS backed by biblical, historical, and factual basis).

In reality, despite continued great odds, Israel has been able to defend itself time and time again.

To the credit of the Palestinian PR/propoganda machine, they have convinced the world to create something out of nothing, with absolutely no basis to do so. All this time, people in Israel have been naive in believing that the Palestinians genuinely do want peace, and would do anything it can to rid its people of the terrorist element. We clearly see that this is not going to happen. Israel is certainly to blame for sitting on the fence rather than being proactive in its PR to the world.

Those who believe that once a Palestinian state will be created, education of hate by the PA Authority would stop; systematic preaching of hatred of Israel, Israelis, Jews, the Western world and culture would stop; terrorism would stop; suicide bombers would stop; are living a fantasy.

The Palestinians prove it time and time again; they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. The continued terrorism against Israel is not going to stop; not now; not any time in the next several generations UNTIL systematic change in the Muslim mind and culture would, by miracle (yet to happen), occurs.

Also, let me remind you how this current situation began:

BUT FOR Hezbollah going on Israeli soil, killing 8 and kidnapping 2 soldiers, Israel would not be in Lebanon, waging war to destroy Hezbollah and its stronghold. Israel left Lebanon 6 years ago, and during this time Lebanon allowed Hezbollah (with the support of Syria and Iran) to build large munition with rockets pointing to Israel. That cannot be allowed, period.

Lebanon has been occupied and controlled by Syria for decades. The beautiful Lebanon, the French Riviera of the Middle East was destroyed in the Lebanese civil war in the 60's and 70's. The Christian minority that ruled Lebanon and brought it to its splendor has been overtaken by the vilolent Islamic extremists.

Hezbollah is accepted in parts of Lebanon because the population truly has absolutely no say and no choice in the matter. If you oppose Hezbollah, you die. The Lebanese Prime Minister Harriri was assassinated for opposing the Syrian occupation. The current Lebanese government is helpless.

Israel wants peace and recognition of its existence. The Muslim extremists, including Syria and Iran regimes want Israel wiped off the face of the earth, and have repeatedly said so. Israel has absolutely no interest in claiming Lebanon, or any other Arab country.

The Muslim world has missed every opportunity to make peace with Israel. When a Muslim country and brave leader did make peace with Israel (the late Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat), he was assassinated by Iranian-backed group.

It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.

For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?

Israel must be given the opportunity to continue the work to destroy the terrorist group Hezbollah up to its leader. It would be to the benefit of Lebanon, Israel, the Middle East, and the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the region.

NOBODY IS FIGHTING OVER ISRAEL. WERE FIGHTING FOR ISRAELS RIGHT TO EXCIST. TOM SAYS THAT AMERICA KICKED A BUNCH OF MUSLIMS OFF THEIR LAND. WELL HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T KNOW HIS HISTORY. TOM THIS IS FOR YOU. AMERICA DIDN'T KICK ANYBODY OFF THEIR LAND. READ AND LEARN BEFORE YOU SOUND IGNORANT.
During World War II Britain, which had been granted a mandate over Palestine by the United Nations, forbade entry into Palestine for European Jews escaping Nazi persecution.

On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel. The British reliquished their mandate over Palestine in 1948. War broke out between the Arabs and Jews soon after. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War, established the state of Israel as an independent state, with the rest of the British Mandate of Palestine split into areas controlled by Egypt and Transjordan.

In 1949, Israel signed separate cease-fire agreements with Egypt on February 24, Lebanon on March 23, Transjordan on April 3, and Syria on July 20. Israel was able to draw its own borders, occupying 70% of Mandatory Palestine, fifty percent more than the UN partition proposal allotted them. These borders have been known afterwards as the "Green Line". The Gaza Strip and West Bank were occupied by Egypt and Transjordan respectively.

THE WORLD GAVE ISRAEL THAT LAND NOT THE AMERICANS.
THIS IS WHY WE HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS TOO MANY IGNORANT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.
PERVAIZ IF THE MUSLIMS ARE SO INTO PEACE THEN WHY DID THEY TRY TO BLOW UP INOCENT TRAVELERS THIS MORNING IN BRITAIN? THATS SO PEACEFUL.

Well if history is correct, it seems that the Middle East claims Isreal as part of its own. Since Isreal isn't, thus clearly the fighting starts. These conflicts have even dated back to bibliographical records.

Here is a rhyme i just thought of- THere cane be no peace, in the Middle East. This goes back all the way to 1917 when the USSR was created. After their war against afganistan they left some of their technology behind so afganistan has a chance of having nuclear weapons plus when USSR fell from power there technology was spread throught the middle east thus leaving any country in the midle east with the access of uranium the power to create nuclear bombs. We cant let that happen. Iran says they have nukes and IRan plans to use them against the US and Israel. Hezbollah his supported by Iran

Because it's not over Israel that people are fighting, it's over mixed agendas on all sides. This is not a 2 way struggle, it's a long-standing historical can of worms whose current episode happens to serve some very important geo-strategic and economic goals for invested parties.

Because Jew-hating Muslims will not rest until they kill all the Jews. They do not want peace and they do not want a diplomatic solution. They want the Jews dead and driven into the sea. Until they find a way to crawl into the modern age and realize how barbaric their current activities and methods are, the violence will continue.

because some idiots thought it was a good idea to put a jewish state in the middle of a region of the world where 90% of the people there are part of the most close minded conservitave religion in the world and happen to dis-like jews. so being closed minded to living next to a race/religion who the do not like makes for uneasy tension in the region and with islamic extremist out there terrorizing the world. other peoples are going to want to fight back when they're attcked by these people.

Can't stop.
Has to be.
The Jews are given that land by covenant.
The others moved in when the Jews were dispersed.
Now the Jews are back and they want what is theirs by covenant.
The Muslims do not have a covenant.
Going to go on right to the end.
They like it.
