The Christian Bible states that God spoke to Noah as well as Moses.
It also says that no man could hear the voice of God.
So if merely hearing the voice of God would kill someone or no man is able to hear the actual voice of God, then how did God speak to Moses and Noah?

Contradictions, contradictions. Some Christians are telling me that no man can SEE the FACE of God but they can HEAR his VOICE. Some are telling me that man cannot hear his voice, therefore an Angel spoke to them.
So which one is it, guys?

Quick do me a favor, as inspiration for your next question,
grab a biblegateway.com and do a search for exodus 33
then read verse 11, verse 17, and verse 20
in the new king james version
check it out,
in 11 god and moses talk face to face
then in v17 moses asks to see gods glory
then in v20 god says you cant see my face or youll die,
but he saw his face in v11 right?
(I contend that the original Hebrew v20 had the word glory) some say its a metaphor in v11,
Either way, its a good question for yahoo answers, don't you agree?

The Bible DOES NOT say that no man could hear the voice of God. Check your source and then read the Bible for yourself. If you give us a scripture, we can more easily help you figure out what the true meaning of the scripture is and show you why.

I think GOD use angel to speak people, you also need to read the whole bible, at other bible chapters GOD use angel to speak people. so Moses or Noah is also spoken by angels of GOD.oh hey i agree with other people said, yes GOD can also speak like human voice,I mean he can speak until Moses or Noah can able to hear voice of GOD.

God spoke to Moses and Noah through the power of the Holy Spirit and its not a language problem but a heart to heart talk...No man could hear the voice of God because God does not speak to everyone but only to certain people he wants them to lead and they are called prophets.(if you are refering to the OT that is). So the people relied on prophets most of the time for God's next move for them. In the NT, the only prophet who came to fulfil God's will was Jesus and he taught us how to be connected to God and that is through the power of the HS and in addition to that, he has taught us how we too can hear the word of God and bring that word of God to the unreached people of the world. So that makes us all prophets!!

Where does it say that "no man could hear the voice of God?"
Exodus 33: 11
"And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle."

The bible has many contradictory passages, usually explained away in that they must be taken in context. There are passages written hundreds of years apart, some only handed down through oral tradition then compiled by several different authors, some partially edited by later translators, mistranslated from one version to the other, etc etc.
Trying to rectify all of the contrary passages has been a life long pursuit for many biblical scholars. Good luck.

Well, I believe the traditional understanding is that Moses, Noah, etc., were speaking to God through the Angel of the Lord.

Yes they heard.
Your second supposition is incorrect.
It does not say no man can hear the voice of God
It does say, Exo 33:20 But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!"
To see and to hear are two different things..
The voice of God can and again not kill a person.

serf is correctomundo!
But now the question is...
...do you know what/who the ANGEL OF THE LORD is?
To Mr. "Jim_Darwin"...
Moses talked with God "face-to-face" just as Abraham did...when God took on flesh & bone...in the form of a man (as Melchisidec).
But His GLORY is different...the Word tells us that God is a CONSUMING FIRE (DEUTERONOMY 4:24 ; 9:3 & HEBREWS 12:29).
THAT'S what He meant by Moses not being able to look at Him.
To see Him in ALL HIS GLORY AND POWER is more than our feeble frames can take.
Only the supernatural can allow that.
Remember what happened to those who touched the Ark of the Covenant?
And that was only a PORTION of His power & glory.
But this takes Spiritual Revelation, discernment, and the New Birth (I JOHN 3:2), to be able to comprehend.
None of which you possess.

I don't believe everything you read in the bible. Lets face it the bible was written by man. And back then they didn't speak remotely close to what is written in the bible. SO THIS being MAN has interpreted the writings in the bible and has put it in his own words. SO, think about this for a little while anyway. And YES I DO believe in GOD.
