I think I have a crush on one of my professor. I took one of his classes last semester. He was really nice. I was having family problems and he tried to help me out. Since then I’ve decided to leave that school and am now in a new one. It’s been about 4 months since I last saw him...but I can’t help but to think about him. His smile won’t leave my mind. In class he had mentioned that he had recently had a real bad brake up with his -x- so I know he's single. But I’m not sure how to approach him or if I even should? If i do get the nerve to ask him out...how do i do it...how do I ask?

If you're going to a new school then just ask him. He's no longer your prof. so there's nothing ethically wrong with it. Just ask him if he'll grab a bite to eat with you. If he tells you that he's not interested then so what... you go to a new school... you don't have see him again.

OK here is what you do. Since you already said that he had helped you before b/c of family problems you should go ahead and send him an email. Just start with that. Say you never really got to thank him properly for all his help and you wanted him to know that things are going a lot better now. Let him know you are going to another school and ask him how things are going with him. See if he will even reply back to you and go from there.

Don't get yourself involved in this..
Firstly it is quite natural and expected for teachers to try solve some of students problems so do not see too much into it....
Second. He can be a good friend, mentor or guide to you. But him being your boyfriend? is alittle bit off...
Of course you r free to hang out with any guy u choose, but bear in mind, people have opinions (especially ur schmates and other professors of that sch). So be prepared to take some critism on such relationships regarded as unusual...

Since you are no longer at the school he teaches at, go for it! You think about this man a lot, do it honey! Cause if you don't you'll forever wonder how would it have been! When the fall semester starts just go visit him in his office and explain your feelings!

The best thing to do is get over it. If he is remotely interested in you, he will find you and you won't have to approach him. If it has been 4 months, he probably got back with his ex or found someone else. You could easily get hurt, be careful. He was there and helped you through a difficult time, and seems like that is all he was in it for was to help.

Just go to the school and talk to him after he is done with class. Tell him how you feel and that you would like to go out with him. He will be flattered beyond belief. If you wait too long, somebody else with a little more courage will beat you to it.

alright slow down. first you need to talk to him and get to know him i know that you think you need to ask him now but good things come from waiting. Try to have an engaged conversation with him and ask him lot's of questions about his life and himself this way he'll know ur interested and might start to notice that u like him the next thing u know he might ask u out instead!. the best of luck to you.

Find a way to 'run into him' somewhere and strike up a conversation. As long as you aren't going to the school he teaches at, you shouldn't be causing any trouble.

Honey, if you want to ruin the man's life, approach him. This isn't the time to stir up something that might end his career or put him in jail. Forget it. Forget it. Forget it. You are being selfish here. Find yourself a nice young man where you are and dump the fantasy.
