There are tens of thousands of planes that fly each day... trully.
And last time i checked the news none of those planes had blown up today...
U still have a much bigger chance of dying crossing a street downtown than traveling by plane... so i'd say u can still safely travel by plane... I still do regularly... and sept 11th hasn't stopped me or scarred me in that respect... i guess those guys failed in their attempt to "terrorise" me... lol... losers
have a good one

I agree with Chic. If you vow to not set foot on an airline, then the terrorists have succeeded. However, if you continue to travel via air and go on with life, clearly showing that they have made no impact on the way you live whatsoever, then you win.
My advice is this - fly with confidence. The threat level for the airlines is up to Red, meaning that NOTHING gets past security. In the light of it, travel is actually safer today than yesterday. Just be patient... don't complain about the long waiting lines and guys going through your clothes. They're only doing it to keep you and everyone else safe.
As for Bush, I wouldn't be too sure about him. In an MSN article I wasn't surprised to read -
"Prime Minister Tony Blair, vacationing in the Caribbean, briefed President Bush on the situation overnight, Blair’s office said. There was no immediate public reaction from the White House. Bush is spending a few days at his ranch near Crawford, Texas."
Don't leave it up to Bush to keep things safe. Everyone has to do their part in keeping their eyes open in any airport that they fly in and out of, constantly check the TSA's website for any updates on restricted items, and give feedback to the airlines based on the service that you receive in the security line. If some guy only breezed through your bag, the airline and the TSA have to know about it.
Bush is one and we are many. All of us have to keep air travel safe!!

yes have a little faith, but we need to get rid of does Terrorist's . I'm happy to hear no more carry on bags, I always was wondering why the allow that. Because everybody come with a big suitcase into the cabin. No more room for a hat or coat. You are safe so don't worry

it somewhat is surprising the way you asked this question. i replaced into observing the information right this moment and it mentioned air return and forth isn't as risk-free as you think of it would. They mentioned some airports are hiring pilots which at the instant are not as experienced.

Listen...you can't live in fear because of these stupid ppl. If you do then they won...that's what they want hence the name terrorist. I really wouldn't worry about...if it's your time to go then it's your time to go. Death will come a knocking whether you're on a plane or in the shower. Ya know *shrug*

It may be a little risking to be flying internationally right now, but I think its worse to give in to the terrorist's attacks on our courage and mentality by not living our lives to the fullest...

I am not afraid to fly.
But I am afraid of the airport itself.
The long lines and waiting forever-what a waste of time.
The terrorist have won and ruined travel as we knew it.

If you travel with reputable (and possibly top airlines) like Cathay Pacific (HK), Singapore Airlines (SG), British Airways (UK)....I think there's not much to worry about ...
