Where do I start? There are tons of perfomance mods out there for a Z.
Here are some places to start looking for parts.

http://www.conceptzperformance.com/cart/...

http://www.ashspecz.com/

http://sgpracing-store.stores.yahoo.net/...

http://www.courtesyparts.com/z32/index.h...

As far as boost controller's look here...

http://sgpracing-store.stores.yahoo.net/...

And anything dealing with the ECU or remapping visiting Ashley Powers is a must. This guy is truly a genius/insane when it comes to custom tuning your car depending on your mods.

You'll find any part you may need on the above sites. Next I would suggest looking at this chart for a good generic progession of mods and the power to expect.

And finally check out the best site on the net for all your 300zx questions.

http://www.twinturbo.net/

At tt.net you'll find the truly obsessed about 300zx's. There are many members on there running daily drivers in the ~600hp range without the use of Nitrous. Mainly you'll find Z drivers are not building their cars to be dyno queens so you won't find too many 1000hp cars out there but with a 600hp Z you'll be running with anything on the road.

Is it a twin turbo? If so, you can crank up the boost and put in a larger intercooler for some real gains.

Two companies that specialize in hopping up Nissans are Stillen and Jim Wolf Technology. Both of them are run by Nissan racers and they know these cars very well. Here's the links:

What you have is GOLD...................

the 300zx is one of the highlights of the nissan performance world..............

you wanna mod it? here's wat you do........

1. Check your budget: to do this car is not cheap.
2. Get hold of Nismo: this is nissan's tuning group.
3. decide how fast you wana make the car go.
4. Take the car to nismo and let them take over with doing everything.

the car can be made faster or it can be made FASTER. you decide! go to Nismo these guys are the best no matter what anyone tells you. Just changing the exhaust system on that car can make if better. Try putting in 4" pistons a new crankshaft, bigger turbos, A new ecu, new exhaust system, Air filters, cut cams, gas flow the head, rebore and put in bigger pistons, change the injectors, drop the suspension, change to a ceramic manifold, and last you can put in a Nitrous Kit but the car realy doesnt need NOS you have a machine just take care of it. oh and make sure you buy everything straight from nismo or you'll regret buying things from anywhere else.....................................

As you are totally clueless lets start at the main problem. You didn't say how much money your willing to spend. Because you don't know cars is not a problem. There are many good mechanics out there, that could give you a wide range of prices that include labor and materials. I'll give you something to think on. $0.00 to $2,000.00 not much. $0.00 to $5,000.00 you can add a few toys. $0.00 to $50,000 will get you a lot of GO. And there's anything in between. So add some bucks to your question. Mark

depends on if its non-turbo or twin-turbo. there are infinite amounts of parts for Z's online, and a car that quality you cant use the second rate ebay products. check out 300zx.com, its a company called Z1, and they make some of the best, they also have TT or NA stage kits for a price, which for an NA (non-turbo) is like 6 different parts that all work together to build your car to about 300HP, they sell 400, 500 , up to 800HP kits for the TT, for a price. Also check out twinturbo.net, its the largest 300zx owners forum on the web.
hope this helps.

It is definitely more difficult to 'see' your bogus accounts, when you put 'real' pix in the avatar space --- but the quality/quantity is still a give-away --- and Yahoo making levels visible is helping, also. . . get rid of nissan --- i'ts trouble all the way around. . .

You can either add a turbo kit to it, or get your car into a machine shop and have your cylinder bored out for larger pistons. It will cost lots of money

Save yourself a lot of hassle and save up some money and take it to a professional, especially if you have no clue about cars it will be cheaper for you in the long run.
