THANK YOU!!!! Finally a open minded person who can see what I see--no one is taking any jobs that someone else wanted in the first place! No one is stopping citizens from picking the crops or cleaning the toilets or taking care of the children or any other job that undocumented workers are doing right this minute.

No, it is not unfounded.... the politicians and the media would have the public believe that nonsense.... Take a little trip through the mid-west.... I did, this summer.... talked to many people....

Jobs that legal American citizens used to do as a means to make a decent living are not available, illegal aliens are doing the jobs for low wages and no benefits, the employers don't care.... like the politicians, they have theirs.... they just don't give a damn about the rest of our working people.

By the way: Illegal Aliens are not "undocumented workers", not "illegal immigrants", not "undocumented immigrants", not "wet backs"(although that was the name given them years ago by our government if they came across the Rio Grande River), they are DESERTERS of their countries and their people, and they are NOT NEEDED here in the USA, we have all the labor needed to do the jobs. IF we didn't, there would be no unemployment report announced each month.

The argument is true.... and illegal aliens might not be a concern to the rich and to college educated employees, but they damn well are to those that don't have the benefit of a degree.

All it takes to see the truth is a little ride, eyes open and ears hearing..... the truth is out there, and it is available. The problem is, people don't want the truth, they want to be spoon fed pablum. And that pablum is so easily absorbed by those who do not look and hear.

By not closing the border, politicians are aiding and abetting illegal aliens who commit a criminal act by illegally entering the USA and employers and politicians are aiding and abetting illegal aliens in the continuation of that criminal act, employers by hiring them and politicians by not enforcing our laws. It is tantamount to treason.

I don't believe what the media says-- besides they're all left wing-- owned by the democratic party... Proove me wrong that they're not, and perhaps I'll consider reading your link.

Hence, if you have provided an independent news link, than you have proved 1 small circle in an entire triangle.

Illegals are breaking the law-- and their anchor babies are entitled to benefitis-- in which the illegals overabuse for another source of income.

You cannot call the same parameter of a triangle, a square or circle. Hence, it is a triangle, thus remains a triangle.

Likewise, you cannot naturally, or rightly state illegals are legal undocumented citizens-- that is not only stupid, but an oxymoron-- furthermore, because illegals are the opposite of legal-- no matter how you try to solve the problem, it simply cannot be solved, due to the fact that they are illegals in the first place.

Breaking the law is a crime-- illegals have commited a crime. Thus, criminals are those deemed to have gone about illegals routes for a solution-- which cannot be.

If you solve for "x", by multiplying it by "v" other than it's intended product "y," you may or may not come to the correct solution.

Forget it... I'm in a math mood right now... I'll explain once you hire me to teach.. I seriouslly don't see that happening-- nor am I surprised if my hypothesis stands up.

By the way, what the he*ll is so difficult to understand about the term, "illegal?"

Trust me Don, I'd **** a donkey before having anything to do with the left wing other than fighting them.

And Don, that last statement of yours' to j.d. just proves your ignorance... kill, rape? Get real.. and grow up...

I am surprised the number of factors they left out, I usually go with thier information.

It already admits that it did not take wages into effect. Does this mean I can go back to the jobs that I was replaced by immigrants and get them back? Or the ones I couldn't get because I don't speak English?

Also, they know better than to use unemployment as a factor. The assumption is once a worker is displaced they get unemployment, and that just isn't true. There are some 14 to 25 million Americans that cannot get those jobs outside of the unemployment parameters.

This is sad. You go and tell people in New Orleans that were fired because they were Americans and all the other people with situations similar to mine that illegals don't take jobs.

That's crazy. Shame on them for starting to spread lies.

Big deal. The Pew Hispanic Center would come out with a study like that. They have everything to lose if the illegals are deported.

The industry I've worked in all of my life has been greatly impacted by illegals. I spent years as a journeyman (woman?) sign fabricator and installer, working my way up to a better salary, fighting a misogynist industry which didn't easily welcome women, finally achieving a position of responsibility and good pay. What happened? In come the illegals, building third rate product and installing without licensing for 1/3 of the money I was making. No more jobs for me! My entire extended family (cousins, uncles) have been impacted from Texas to California. Many have had to go into electrical work because the sign industry only wants cheap product at the cheapest prices. Never mind that quality fabrication and safety have been thrown to the wind.

Don't tell me that American jobs are not impacted. I'm a victim of illegal immigration.

Dear don, it does not matter that illegals aren't stealing. You cannot change peoples minds, if they say the sky i red, no matter what evidence you show, it is still red to them. If illegals are making it hard for uneducated Americans to get a job, then why don't these Americans get educated, they're Americans, they got that right to education right. I never heard my mother complain or be concerned about illegals taking jobs, she works in an office behind a computer, what she's more worried about is outsourcing. Yup unlike illegals who do work here in the US, outsourcing takes jobs within the US and moves em to other countries. Millions and millions have lost their job to outsourcing but they only seem concerned with illegals, come on, illegals in my opinion don't hurt the system at all.

You really sound anti-American! Are you an illegal?

The conclusion of the article states that they are taking jobs from the less educated American population. Read the last three paragraphs below.

Immigrants tend to be younger and have less education than American workers. The study, however, found "no apparent relationship between the growth of foreign workers with less education and the employment outcome of native workers with the same low level of education."

However, Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies, said his research shows that many young workers with little education are hurt by competition from immigrants.

"Employment for less educated natives has declined, and their wages have declined," said Camarota, who advocates stricter immigration policies. "There is no shortage of less educated workers in the United States."

we still have laws to fallow and so should they..this is the year 2006. And yes they do take american jobs go to a construction sight..how many of the mexicans have green cards there i bet maybe 5%. they work cheap. and make it hard for the legals to get the job. They make bids so low no else can compete with them..how does this not affect me..they might make a 1000 to roof a house that wont even pay the help..and thats 15 mexicans working on one house.....So how does this not effect me??? To pay a crew of 6 men it would take 3 times that amount...Husband owns a roofing and remodeling company..we cant compete with these wages to stay in business...

The first point is they are here ILLEGALLY!!! How HARD is that to understand????!!!!

The second point is, this "article" is from the Pew HISPANIC Center!!!! I'm sure they're not a bit BIASED!!!! (sarcasm here)
they said they "found no evidence" that ILLEGALS "led to higher unemployment for Americans". My question is, HOW THOROUGHLY did they actually check???! Not very, i'm sure!!!
It also says "the study did not look at whether wages were affected for American workers". Notice the "DiD NOT LOOK"!!! I'll BET they did not look!!!

"The Pew Hispanic Center found no evidence that increases in immigration led to higher unemployment among Americans, said Rakesh Kochhar, who authored the study"

don't you think this "study" might have been a little biased , I heard the KKK came out with a study that white people are really superior
