why would you boil honey?? actually honey inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Boiled honey is not toxic. As one of the other responders noted, unpasteurized honey may have bacteria. Because of their developing immunization system, it is not recommended to give honey to infants. Good luck

It's not necessary to boil honey if you purchase pasteurized honey. It is heated to a point that it kills the bacteria without sacrificing the taste or consistency of the honey. Raw honey, however, may contain contaminants and bacteria. The label will tell you which you are purchasing.

i put honey in tea or just hot water

i think that's sorta boiling it so no, cos i've downed many a cup and i'm alright

Hmm...What an odd question.

I don't think so. I used to mix it with bourbon and boil it in the microwave to gargle with when I would have a cold.
