I have had a recurring dream for probably 20 years. I don't have it every night. The dream is that I go into a parking lot and my car has been stolen. It might be the car I own now or a car I have owned a long time ago or a car that I have never owned in real life. I have had this dream so many times and in the middle of the dream I think to myself, oh not this again and I think did I forget to tell the insurance company about all of the other cars that I have had stolen. I think about all the money I have wasted on buying new cars and not getting reimbursed by the insurance company. I have had the dream so many times that I almost feel resigned to it in my dream.

Recurring dreams usually indicate there is something that has not been solved at the subconscious level. Apparently the dream is initiated by an embedded trigger, located within the deep recesses of the mind. Those dreams usually involving family members or, dissent with family members.

That is a good question and strangely, no, I haven't. There is one dream that sticks out in my mind all the time. When my ex-boyfriend's father passed away from pancreatic cancer 4 years ago, my ex and I had been broken up for 6 months. But we had dated very seriously for 2 years and I told my family that when his dad passed away, I simply had to go to the visitation. It was bad - the week I broke up with him (he wanted marriage, I didn't) that's when his dad was diagnosed. I knew it was just a matter of time.

Well, the weekend his dad passed, I had a dream that my ex and I worked at the same company and we both came out of our offices, arms at our sides, and stood there staring at each other. Two days later my family and I attended the visitation. And ironically, I had a girlfriend who lost her grandma one day prior - both visitations were on the same night and the only reason I found out about my ex's dad dying is that I was looking up my girlfriend's grandma in the obits in the paper to see the spelling of her last name to put on the floral arrangement - and came across my ex's dad....It was extremely powerful. I will never forget it.

Yes lemme briefly try to describe it for you:
I was floating on water and suddenly the water turned into air and i felt i was flying. I was the one leading and there were at least a hundred-odd people flying with me (i somehow got a feeling that i was a leader and all these people who were mostly known people like relatives, friends, colleagues, whom i revere and people of integrity and true value) all cheering me up. I said "come on, come on" and then the dream broke. Again after a couple of hours, it was the same dream and it broke there.

I've had the same dream off and on since I was 6. It's always the same and I'm always the same age in the dream. Crazy thing....not sure why it comes and goes though.

Yes I have. When I was a kid, I use to love horses and science fiction.I use to have a dream that I had all these incredible horses.I would put them in a space ship and go to other parts of the world and ride them there.Since becoming an adult, I have seldom been out of the State of Virginia,I guess that dream is about as close as I will ever get to world travel!LOL! God bless you.

It is very common to have the same dream over and over, sometimes for years or decades. These are called "recurring dreams" and they are typically attributed to some conflict in the dreamer's waking life that they have not been able to resolve.
