myself being a hairdressers daughter i know a few tricks coz my hair has a bad habit of going greasy really quickly...

if you using a shampoo and conditioner combination... DON"T rather get separates therefore u don't use so much conditioner in your hair coz this is what makes it get greasy so fast.

well i have long hair so your problem is slightly different considering the length now.... ok if you can find and Goldwell products GET THEM!! there are 2 bottles for derma control and one is for sebum control (grease) with these 2 fixed together you wash your hair and use only a very little bit of conditioner but first leave the shampoo in your hair for like 10min...

other than that if all else fails just cut back on your conditioner!!!

I learned my lesson with shampoos and conditioners that were not from a professional line. Not only do I get my hair colored and highlighted, but I am also a blonde. If I go a day without washing my hair looks greasy. I use Kenra, for color-treated hair. I would suggest any shampoo/conditioner from a professional line for color-treated hair, that is also for oily hair. Try something by Tigi, Redken, or Halo.

You might want to consider not using shampoo and conditioner at all. Shampoo strips oils from your hair, so your scalp produces more oil to compensate thus making your hair greasy, there are also other negative points to using shampoo such as product build-up, and harmful ingredients within the shampoo.

Check out the following links on going no-poo, you will find your hair will be a LOT healthier, not greasy, easier to manage and just generally a whole lot nicer.

I have the same problem. Sun silks have a light spray conditioner for greasy hair which is really good and quite cheap too. Herbal essence greasy roots and dry ends is good too as it is for just that and stops fringe going bad. If you do get bad fringe then lee Stafford dry shampoo is great, just spray and rub and hair is good as new, if you are on a budget then talc is similar! :O)

Gliss Kur from Schwarzkopf, It's truly incredible. It's made mostly for long, frizzy & curly hair, since it can be a nightmare to put a brush into thick hair after wash lol I love it, it smells like heaven on earth, makes the hair supershiny, soft & very easy to comb after wash. I use first shampoo, then conditioner and then after wash shine treatment. My favorite hairproducts in whole wide world - I very much recommend it to anyone. Once you go Gliss you can't go back. ;)

You shouldnt have to wash your hair again, I think maybe you are not rinsing out the conditioner properly that would make it look greasy as soon as you dry it.. Perhaps you are rinsing the back and sides but forgeting to do the fringe bit......Ive used fructis, its not my favourite, but I have limp straight hair and as soon as it gets dirty it looks dirty. Try adding a little fresh lemon squeezed into your hand with your conditioner

I used to rely on TRESemmé which was brilliant, but I took some Pantene Pro-V on holiday because the bottles were smaller. Both are really good. TRESemmé is great value for money but if you're in a rush, Pantene is a wash-in, wash-out conditioner with no waiting around.

I use Tresemme shampoo and Herbal Essence conditioner. Don't condition EVERY time you wash as it will get greasy. I wash mine every day but condition 2 - 3 times a week. My hair, too, is short and highlighted.

garnier fructis sucks!

you should try using like redken or
something from the salon.

they can steer u in the right direction for something
that'll fit you hair type and style.

it's 90% active ingredients in those
as apposed to usually only 10% in the ones
at the supermarket. they use a lot of water to fill up the rest
of their bottles.

I was using the Aussie range for a while and that was really good but got a voucher for the John Frieda Brilliant range and bought that and my hair is looking really healthy with it and I've found it really easy to style my hair since too. It's fine to use on highlighted hair too. Hope this helps.
