You need a stylist that does what you want and tells you how to keep your hair healthy. If he/she doesn't tell u how to keep it healthy, find a new one.

I guess there are different opinions about this. In my estimation,a good stylist is one who keeps up to date on the new styles and re educates them self to be able to do them. Also a good stylist will always try to think of new styles for you so you don't always look the same. A good stylist will always recommend the products for your hair that will enable you to re-create the style at home.She/he will also help you if you are having problems with a new style.Sometimes it is helpful to have the client bring what they use at home and talk your way through it,He/she will also let you know if he/she thinks what you want is not the right thing for your hair.By the way...I am a stylist! I hope you will find someone that will take good care of your hair.

If you need to schedule your appt. a couple weeks in advance, that means they r busy and lots of people r coming to them 4 a reason. Also, do you get complimented on your hair often? Is your hair easy to fix? Does your stylist do exactly what you ask, or offer different suggestions that may be better for your face shape, hair type, etc.? If your stylist takes time with you and tries to do what's best for you and you get compliments on your hair, then I would say you have a good stylist.

If you leave the salon feeling as though you've gotten what you asked for; if the stylist listens to what you want but also makes suggestions if you ask for them; if you are happy with the amount you're paying. If you feel really pretty and can't stop looking at yourself in the mirror afterwards and get lots of compliments!!

You know if you have a good hairstyle it is easy to style like the stylist did it, and it fits your facail structure. Another way to know which is obvious is when you get compliments from others.

If she does exactly what you want when you go to the stylist, and if you see graduation diplomas or degres around her desk
