Absolutely. It's so much easier to not think.

I don't think that 'Ignorance is bliss' means that stupidity is bliss. I think it means that there are some things you'd be better off not knowing about. Say someone's spouse is cheating. Most people would want to know, but some people would prefer not to--because as long as they didn't know, they wouldn't have to do anything about it.

If I had never heard of religion, or wasted part of my life trying to live up to something that is a collection of lies, I would have been much more blissful and I think the same is true of everyone, although most of the bleating sheep would never admit it. I truly wish I had been 'ignorant' of its tainted message.

So yes, in some cases, ignorance IS bliss.

I agree that ignorance is bliss. In ingorance once can believe that their world is a wonderful and perfect place. Knowledge destroys the illusion of perfection and exposes the reality. No one ever really wants to see how deep the rabbit hole goes...because the hole never ends...

I wouldn't say it's bliss, but in some instances it's okay I reckon.

For example, if you found out your partner was cheating on you, you'd be devastated and it would end your relationship. However, if you're partner cheated on you and you didn't know, you'd carry on as normal and be perfectly happy.

Obviously I'm not condoning cheating. Just using it as an example. Imagine if the boot was on the other foot and you cheated on your partner? Say you were really drunk, didn't know what you were doing, totally regretted in and felt awful. It would only hurt your partner if you told them, so what's the point?

Ignorance can be bliss - if you want to stay stupid and not be liable for anything in life!

Ignorance is what people do because they are afraid of the truth!

God bless and may He give you knowledge and may you use it to the glory of His name!

Yes.

Common sense is a curse. I wish I was so stupid. There's a peace stupid people seem to have, that I miss greatly.

I wouldn't be stressed out all the time about things in this world that most people don't even know about.
They can't even think outside the box.
Would I go back in time and ignore those moments that lead me to now??? I don't really know.

The grass is always greener.

If ignorance is bliss, Christians must be having never-ending explosive orgasms

I think there are times when it can be. I, also, agree with you, but it is not just on here, there are ignorant people everywhere. At times we are all ignorant, I don't know anyone who knows everything, there is to know, about everything. If you do, I would really like to meet that person!

yes - there are a lot of things I know which I wish I did not know, but now that I know them I can't forget them. If I did not know them in the first place I would not have them to worry about.
