I am sorry to say this but I don't think you should get a dog. If you can't afford to buy it, then you can't afford to keep it. Think about the costs of a dog.

*Food - you can't just feed your dog the same thing you are eating. It will make it sick.
*Worming tablets - you need to worm the dog AT LEAST every 3 months
*Flea treatments - most treatments work for a month or 2
*Training - if you have never had a dog I would suggest you take it to puppy pre-school. It will teach not only the dog the basics, but will teach you how to discipline and train your dog. An untrained dog can cause major problems (barking, digging up the yard, destroying things).
*Emergency vet bills - if you manage to find a dog that never gets a tick, eats something it shouldn't have or injures itself you are extremely lucky.
*Desexing - it is irresponsible to own a dog and then not desex it. Unwanted puppies are a problem. And if you think "oh my dog is fenced in, I don't need to desex it" then think again. If a male dog smells a b*tch on heat it will do anything to get to that dog.

I think you may have your terms confused.

"Fostering" a dog is when you agree to take a dog who would otherwise be living in an animal shelter and care for him or her in your own home until someone adopts him. Sometimes foster dogs just need a break from the shelter because it is very stressful there, sometimes they have health problems and need to be nursed and cared for more intensively than they can be at the shelter, and sometimes their temperment (nervous or anxious) makes them go batty at the shelter and they need to have a nice quiet home to wait in until they get adopted. Once the dog is well enough to return to the shelter or someone adopts him or her, you return the dog. The shelter will usually pay for the dog's medical expenses and sometimes food.

"Adopting" a dog from a shelter means you give that dog a permanent home. That dog is now your dog. Adoption is rarely free, there is usually a small fee that will cover the medical expenses that the shelter incurs vaccinating and spaying/neutering the dog. If you can't afford any fee at all, you can't afford a dog right now. Dogs cost several thousand dollars a year to have.

undesirable idea. You sound like you have not any adventure with dogs like this. and that i'm telling you, it would not matter if your dogs on the lead or no longer. a minimum of one among those different dogs will respond to his aggressive nature and there'll be a strive against. quite because it is an enclosed area the position there ought to unexpectedly be any variety of different dogs coming in! how can you supply up that precisely? at the same time as a strive against breaks out in a contained area the position there are different dogs, the %. mentality frequently takes over and then you've an total brawl on your fingers. are you able to take care of that? ought to you be in a position to split a strive against with countless dogs? No. And what about the different canines vendors? Do they study this?

contact your local SPCA or humane society they may have dogs that need temporary foster homes

do not get a free pet because if you intend to keep a pet while being short on cash you will not be able to afford vet or emergency care
