Microsoft Word

Open MS Word and in the top menu click Tools\Letters and Mailings\Envelopes and Labels

When the form opens, select the "Labels" tab, and look for the "Options" button. From there, select the brand of labels you are using from the "Label Products" drop-down list (Avery is the most common), then select the "Product Number" in the lower left-hand list. (You can also select "New Label" to define a custom label size) Once you're done with options, click OK. Back on the main Label Options form, select whether you want a "Full page of the same label" (for example, if you were printing a sheet of return-address labels), or a "Single Label". Then you can either type in the label information into the address text area, or select an address from your Windows address book (the little book icon on the top with the down-arrow next to it). Click "New Document" when you're ready and you'll see an editable page of what your printout will look like. The layout should look just like a sheet of your label paper if you've done everything correctly.
Hope that helps!

you use microsoft word
in the help menu, select printing address labels and it will walk you through step by step
If the labels are all one kind (ie, they are return address labels), it's very easy
If the lavels are for mulitple recipients of your letters (ie a mass mailing) then you will have to set up a data base 1st in excel,
