Just bought one this past Sunday! Th-42px60u rated as the best 42" according to consumer reports. LOVE IT! Great picture, easy to use the remote, especially to change the aspect view of the pic and what a great picture... and we don't even have HD cable yet. The built in speakers are "OK" but will work fine if you don't have a stereo system to hook it up to. It comes complete with the stand and was literally ... plug it in and start watching it!
This is what I did... I bought mine at Sears, Best Buy has a $250 off deal going right now, Sears will give you that discount PLUS 10% ($25) more... that paid for our Bell'o table so we could FINALLY get rid of that darn "entertainment" center... you know... that huge monstrosity of particle board piece of crap!!!
Best thing... Sears has an 18 month no interest gig right now. Why drain the savings when you can pay it off over 18 months interest free. Still requires a monthly minimum payment but NO interest!!!
Oh... and you can put in an SD card from your digital camera and show to everyone right on the screen!

Yes we do - a 42". Don't know what we did without one! Also have the Panasonic Home Cinema 5.1 and it makes your lounge like a real cinema. Absolutely fandabbydozy! Can't think of any cons. The pros are: excellent clarity, it's big, it's slimline, it looks the puppies privates and it will enhance your lifestyle!
