I think giving him a son or daughter will be a nice present. You aren't going to feel quite up to much more than that. Unless you are superwoman. Let him take care of you.

Sgt B hit it. Don't make big plans. Seriously, he's probably wound so tight he's ready to explode. Don't bring a million people over to the house. Keep things quiet until he's ready to go out and move around. T-Bone and beer with your company is probably a little slice of heaven for him. Ask him what he missed the most, and then do it if possible. Whether that means going to a drive-through at McDonalds or going fishing, make it happen.

I had my son while my husband was home on R&R too. Take those 2 weeks and make the most of them, they go by so fast! My husband just wanted to spend as much time as he could holding the baby and I was too sore to go out and do much anyway.
The food over there isnt that great and apparently the soda is disgusting so try to stock up on his favorite stuff like that while he's there so that he can indulge a little.

Honestly just being there for him when he comes how is the best thing in the world.

People always think we want to go do this or do that when we get home but really all we want is to be able to sit on the couch, watch some TV, cook some steaks on the grill, and have dinner with our family.....

Thats the best you can do for him. Just get him a t-bone and a six pack and let him know you missed him.....

Thats just my opinon though...haha

i think you have your answer. from sgt,b I know we went to a resturant when my husband got back and he kind of freaked so we left almost as soon as we got there. Noise and people and things that can make them uneasy... Just spend time at home with a few people keep- it -simple. He'll be happy just to see his child be born. and be able to see you again. Best Wish with your new baby...and hubby
