This is not exactly a question. But you may wish to know how this joke came about.
I suppose the surname Wan is transliterated from a traditional Chinese surname 尹 which when read in Cantonese is represented by IPA [wan], same as the pronunciation of the word 'one' in English.
When this is transliterated into 'English', Cantonese people somehow have to shift the pronunciation to [wen], same as the pronunciation of the word 'when' in English. For those who hold on to the Cantonese pronunciation [wan] when speaking English, there comes the 'joke' of Annie Wan / anyone and the likes.
In Cantonese, there's no [r] phoneme. That's the reason why some Cantonese tend to substitute with the closest phoneme [l] and when hearing [l], they may think the speaker means [r]. Hence "Saw Lee" as "sorry". But this is not to say that Cantonese cannot pronounce the phoneme [r], most Cantonese who have formal training in English know how to pronounce it correctly and can tell the difference between [l] and [r].
