Andy's answer is spot on. What IS in it for you? What do you see in this guy that makes you want to deal with this? He must be a Cassanova, I guess . . . I do believe in love at first site and having sex on the first date isn't that big of a deal. Proposing, though . . . that's just plain weird on a first date!!
Anyway, you need to discern WHAT'S IN THIS FOR YOU? You sound distraught over this, I'd let it go and move on.

oh sweetheart, you have been played. This Jerk used you for his pleasure and will continue to do so unless you tell him where to go. I feel so bad for you, I am sure that you are hurting. There are alot of good guys out there but they aren't easy to find. Any guy that would tell you he loved you and proposed to you on a first time is a liar. Nobody falls in love that fast unless they have serious issues. Get rid of him for good hunny. Good luck

First of all it is not called making love it is having sex. Men say all sort of things to get what they want. Hopefully you did not take the proposal seriously. If a guy was going to propose to me the first night I would think he was crazy. I went to a party when I was younger had to much to drink and met this guy but we did not have sex thank god. He called me the next day and told me he was in love with me. It shocked me. I had to think of a way I had to break it off with him so I said I was going back to my ex boyfriend he called a few times and finally I told him not to call me anymore because I thought he was moving to fast. Made me think he was crazy. Move on and when you meet another man take it slowly let them get to know you before you have sex with them maybe they will love you and want to marry you.

#1 what are you thinking sleeping with him on the first date
#2 you give it up that easy and he's gonna take you for granted
#3 if he's not calling then he's probably just using you for sex
#4 he proposed, but he makes excuses not to see you, BIG problem

Okay... so what would you think if some guy asked your sister or best friend to marry them on the first date and then didn't call. Its sounds weird to me. I'd forget about him. It sounds like he was just saying what ever it took to get you into bed. He's a loser.

Sounds to me like he told you he wanted to marry you just so he could get you to have sex with him. My advice, drop him, and never make a mistake like that again. If someone tells you they want to marry you on the first date, 1st check their temperature, and do a background check, and NEXT, RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN GET!!!
I was friends with my husband for 2 years, and knew him since I was 5 BEFORE we started dating, and STILL even though I felt strongly for him, I did NOT rush into sex or engagement. Just don't do it. It is for your own protection.

This guy sounds like a jerk. Maybe he is hiding something and that's why he makes excuses. I don't think you should talk to him anymore. I'm sure you deserve a better guy who won't treat you so poorly.

Right. So you didn't make love, you had sex. You are not the first woman who has fallen for the whole "I love you" bit - some guys (not all guys) use that line to get laid. Of course he's sorry - he lied to you to get you to have sex. But I bet he's not sorry enough to never pull that crap again.

Get rid of him, he's using you for sex. He probably thinks your easy because you did it on first date. By the way making love is having sex with someone you love. Doing it on the first date is just lust or plain old having sex.

have you ever heard that there are guys out there who will tell you ANYTHING to get you to sleep with them?
don't fall for this scam again. you're a booty call and probably don't wanna be.
however, if you like being a booty call, keep talking to him. you'll both get what you want.
