As we approach the fifth official anniversary of the “war on terror”, the foiled UK “terror plot” has neatly provided George W Bush, the “leader of the free world”, with a chance to remind us of our fight against the “Islamic fascists”. But what if the war on terror is not really about separating the good guys from the bad guys, but about deciding what a good guy can be allowed to say and think?
What if the “Islamic fascism” President Bush warns us of is not just the terrorism associated with Osama bin Laden and his elusive al-Qaeda network but a set of views that many Arabs, Muslims and Pakistanis -- even the odd humanist -- consider normal, even enlightened? What if the war on “Islamic fascism” is less about fighting terrorism and more about silencing those who dissent from the West’s endless wars against the Middle East?
Can we have an independent inquiry this time or are we supposed to swallow and vomit and lick back another white wash like we do every time?

I think all the People in the USA who cannot claim full American Indian heritage should go back to their "own countries".
All non-indigenous Australians should go back home.
All people of Anglo Saxon blood out of Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England and back to... Saxony? Norway? Jutland? Italy?
All of Spanish, Portugese or non Indigenous origins out of South America...
No-one but the Inuit in Canada...
Anyone who smokes, drinks, speeds, swears, is racist, bigotted, rude, stupid, disabled, mentally ill - a "bad apple" in any way to be deported to their land of origin, no matter how many generations they have been where they are now.
Now YOU try to figure out where you'd be - I have no idea...
Any of you who agree with "Deporting all muslims from the UK" - I will categorically label as "d*#kheads" purely because you deserve no better treatment. Deporting people simply because of what they believe? This is the sort of thing we have working to avoid for the last 50 years!

This is a such a howlingly dumb suggestion I can't believe it was made seriously. At the time the IRA was letting off bombs in the UK mainland were you demanding that all Catholics be deported? And just what kind of 'way of life' would we have in this country if people could be thrown out of Britain solely on account of their religion?
You'd do better to consider why some Muslims - a tiny minority - feel the kind of grievance that would lead them to blow up themselves and a few dozen innocent strangers. Then start doing something about the causes of that feeling.

Yes, I agree. As long as Islam harbors and breeds a lethal threat to western socities everywhere, it is better to be safe than sorry. I think it is better to stop this politically correct BS, and force muslims currently living in Europe and America to move to the Middle East. It is a matter of life and death, and it is obvious that Islam terrorists do not care for their lives, the lives of peaceful muslims, or anyone else for that matter.
The answerer above - Native American here, go f*ck yourself. If muslims want to live in peace, then they should stop the terrorism.

Anyone who shows hostile behavior, aggression, rioting and predominantly supports beheading of innocent humanitarian people and journalists should be deported. If not so then they should have moral or religious obligation themselves leave the country and go back where they actually belong.

Yes we must do it. Every country and peoples survival depends upon keeping and maintaining ethnicity and identity. Moslems extend no tolerance to non Moslems whom they impose a tax on. Islam's founder was a violent enslaver, a murderer, he had a large harem and he was a thief and a deceiver. All his qualities are imitated by Moslems and are used to make others submit (islam). Some ideologies cannot be tolerated because they are a danger. Does any country want to allow itself to be colonised through legal immigration? No

Why don't we deport all the 240,000 Englishmen in U.A.E, confiscate all their money, seize their assets, and freeze their bank accounts? Why don't we do the same for Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait? And while you are at it, what about the 11 million Copts in Egypt, 2 million Christians in Lebanon, another 2 million in Syria, and another 2 million in Pakistan. And how about we send all of them to the viper's pit known as England.
No wonder the Scots and North Irish want independence from all of you!

Like the Turks did to the Armenians? Or maybe you mean like what Pol Pot did with his Khmer Rouge? No, you mean like Germany and the Jews. Just because some "bad apples" are causing a commotion in your country doesn’t mean an entire population segment needs to be expelled. Last time religiously persecuted rabble-rousers were banished from Britain, they ended up creating 50 states.

That is not a solution, that is avoiding the problem, not resolving it. If these guys are doing this, don't you think it is because the US has done the same to them?
I'm not saying that what they are doing is ok, but I just want you to know that in here there are no goods or bads, both parts are guilty, and both of them should change. Deporting muslims is not a solution.
