In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Jesus was with God from the foundations of time and the origination's of all. Jesus is the Word that became flesh that all might believe and not fall short of the high calling. There are those that will receive with great joy and those that will not. Yes Jesus is God the Son. The Heavenly Father or creator of all is still just who He is the Heavenly Father or creator.

Jesus is saying that he and his father are of the same mind. In the text preceeding and after John 10:30, Jesus keeps refering to "his Father" and what his father has given him. If one were to believe that Jesus is saying he is God, these would not make sense. Re-word John 10:29 to replace God with "me" or "myself" and you get "What I have given myself is greater than all things..." or try John 10:25 and you get something like "The works I am doing in the name of myself, these bear witness about me." They don't really make sense if you believe Jesus is God. Especially in light of John 3:16. How would it make sense that God gave his only begotten son if his son is himself? It doesn't make sense. It makes sense that they are different entities.
In John 10:30 Jesus is saying he and God are of the same mind and spirit, much like you might say about a spouse or close friend.
There are several scriptures that show that Jesus and God are separate entities. None that truly support the concept that they are one person.

God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

Jesus while on earth was 100% human AND 100% God. It is silly with our little human minds to try and make divine things follow human logic. Jesus is God and God is Jesus yet they are different beings at the same time.

Question: Since God is the eternal Creator of everything, what stops Him from doing what I've just suggested? Would you conclude it's not possible because we can't understand it and doesn't make logical sense as far as we understand logic?

In the Jewish culture of the day, a good jew would never say "my father"...period. If they did, they would qualify it by saying "my father in heaven", or "our father". This is just another example of Jesus making a either a blasphemous or true remark. Note that the jews immediately pick up stones to kill him after he utters the phrase. Why? His opponents say it themselves: "Because you, a mere man, claim to be God".

Look again in John 5:16-18 and you will see that because he calls God "my father" the Jews want to kill him. Why would they want to kill him if referring to God as "my father" had no meaning?
Let me tell you that you can be absolutely certain: Jesus meant to call himself divine, and any notion spread by college professors that he didn't is absolutely absurd. Our choice is whether or not to accept it.

Jesus is the Son of God, but not God the Father. That scripture means that they are in agreement, not that they are the same being.

Some people don't believe in the trinity because of misunderstanding scriptures like this.

But, ask yourself these questions...
If they were the same, who spoke from heaven when Jesus was baptized?
If they were the same, who was Jesus always praying to?
Who is "us" when God said, "Let us make man in our image"?

When Jesus prayed, "Not My will, but Thy will be done", that indicates two different wills, therefore two different beings.

I can go on and on about this, but if you need to, you can contact me and I can explain further with scripture references.

It means the same thing as saying "me and my wife are one".
Two bodies joined by spirit.
God and Jesus are Father and Son. Two beings, joined by spirit. (The Holy Spirit)
That's the way I've always understood it.
