i never believe that scars can be completely removed unless you get a cosmetic surgery or something... you can just make it less visible...

i had an accident about two years ago and i had stitches on my face and scars on my hands... doc told me to use vitamin E. i guess it's effective. but you wont see the results instantly. it takes time. you can either apply vitamin E oil directly on the wound or you can take the vitamin E tablets.

the crucial point is when the wound is still new. the best way to remove scar is to take good care of the wound. NEVER pick your scabs. you know that outer layer of the wound when it's healing? you should just leave it alone and let it "peel off" on its own. yes i understand how itchy it will feel... no matter how itchy it is, just bear with it and dont touch the scabs unless you dont mind having noticeably ugly scars...

and the earlier you attend to your scars, the easier and faster it will become less visible. you should start applying vitamin E when the scars are still fresh. like what i did, as soon as the scabs came off, i applied vitamin E on the scars everyday.

if it's an old scar, it will take even longer to "remove" it.

basically you can find vitamin E oil or vitamin E tablets in pharmacy. check the i.u. the 400 i.u. tablets are quite ideal for me especially when the scars are still fresh. i used to poke a hole on the tablet and then just applied the vitamin E from the tablet directly on the scars :D

i found two types of vitamin E in the market... natural ones and synthetic ones.. well i guess natural ones are always better... though i am not too sure.. but hey, natural is always better isnt it?

From everything I've read... there is NO such thing. I've heard coco butter (purchased in "stick" form) helps during the healing of a wound but it didn't do such a hot job on my eight inch scar from a compound fracture of my left leg. I have also heard that keeping it out of the sun helps but I think it just minimizes the appearance more than anything... scars don't "tan" and will look worse if your body part is tan.

So other than that... wear your scar proudly... you earned it!
