Critic Collection has been taking money straight from my bank account. I have no outstanding debts and I can't find ANY info on this agency. My bank tells me all they have is this name. I had to close out my bank account because of this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go back to your bank. You need to fill out Fraud paperwork for them to investigate. We had this happen on a business acct. but it took over a year to finally get all of our money back.

how is the money being taken out, is it being removed by an electronic debit or what? The bank should be able to tell you who authorized them to take the money from your account, if it was not you then they should (the bank) needs to investigate it further.

How were they "taking money" out of your account? Direct debit, a lien executed by the sheriff, etc

Did you deposit a check that you got in the mail for some sort of "sweepstakes" or something? Often these scams have fine print where if you deposit their check you authorize them to debit your account for "fees and taxes".

Treat it as if it was fraud. Demand your bank investigate. It could be an indentity theft type fraud where they pretent to be a legit company collecting on a bill.
