Do you think its ok to buy a copy from someone for photoshop 7.0 for only $50. will the program still work as good as the original copy? are there cheaper ways to get it?

Its not legal to buy a "copy", but it should work fine.
If you're going to go the piracy route, why not try something like bittorrent? Then you can get it for free.

If you get original/correct serial number (Which required during installation) with the CD then u can buy it. And it will work fine.

haha. there's a better way for you.
You can go to www.download.com and look for adobe photoshop. It's ok if you download trial version or demo because you can crack it to get full version but this is illegal.

I suggest you use PhotoFiltre or PhotoPlus. Just like PS.
Both are free...
