I probably only get 6-7 hours of sleep per night and I'm only 16. The reason is that I have alot of AP classes and the work is pretty much killing me. I was wondering if this lack of sleep can stunt growth?

lol, well I try to get to sleep early but its really hard when I get home at 6:30. And I do have a life, so even though my mom tells me "get home and start hmw straight away" I just cant, because I'm too tired from school. I started hmw yesterday about 8 and finished at 12:30. Maybe AP isn't worth the trouble :(

that is fine. most people get eight hours. you do need to take some time for yourself. an hour to yourself. relax or read or take a nap because you can burn out. my mother in law use to tell me the train stops sometimes.

Yes it does. I don't remember the exact science, but your hormones or whatever work best and most when your body is in the deep sleep mode, and that's about 3 to 4 hours after you fall asleep. The less you sleep, the shorter your deep sleep, and the less you grow. It's a thing I worry about too because I so want to grow taller and I've missed my growth spurt. 15 now. Good luck with the work and I hope you get that sleep.

P.S. The recommanded sleeping hours is 8 for grown adults, and 10 for growing teenages. That's the minimum we're supposed to follow, but I have to say, it's not very likely in this busy world of ours. Still, we gotta try.

lol. 6 or 7 hours of sleep is fine-they reccommend 8. I think one hour off isnt going to kill you.

Come back if you start getting 4 hours a sleep then we can talk.

But actually if you take less calsium, it would not any special of you to become taller before 18 years of old. I'm not sure if less sleep could defect the growth.....
