It seems to come back everytime I need sleep.

Red eyes/bloodshot eyes are a medical concern...visit your optometrist if this problem isnt clearing up

this could simply be a sign of stress. Increased blood pressure may lead to the smaller more fragile vessels to burst, clearly there is a weaker one on that side of you eye.
If that is all you are getting it probably isn't pink eye

See your physician to rule out retinitis or other signifcant problems.
