I'm talking about those long metal bathroom fixtures found in male public toilets. I'd like to have one in my house when I finally get it, as it's easier than using a conventional toilet.

I wouldn't go with a "trough" but I would go with a urinal... yes you can do it as I have seen them! It's a great idea and saves a ton of water!!!

i know Will Ferell had a urinaL in his apartment when he did an episode of cribs, it wasn't a trough though,
im sure that its possibLe but i bet that it wiLL take some work

Yeah i'ld say very possible and probably very money saving. You would more than likely need extra support for your wall you choose to use.

My guess is that residential building codes won't allow it, but if that would make it your dream house....
