You can fill up 1/2 or 1 gallon milk jugs with water. I've tried it and it seemed to work pretty good.

Canned veggies or fruit work well for the arms. Been using them for years instead of buying the weights.

Bottles of water - they're around the same shape and you can decide how heavy you want them to be, add stones or other small solids if you need extra weight. Dictionaries, but they're quite tricky to handle.

Try using a can of vegetables or fruit. Usually they will weigh about a pound and are good to start your workout with. Move up to books for something heavier. I hope this helps.

oh how funny...I was watching Fit TV last night...they suggested unopened canned foods or small bottles of water (weigh more if you fill with sand or mud)
They also suggested milk/juice jugs filled with water, sand, mud, etc.
I don't know but seems logical..just seal them well.

Go to your pantry and take two cans of soup or veg. that are the same weight and hold one in each hand and use them for your weights. As you wish heavier weights just get heavier cans!.
