Young cats and fragile valuables in high places are a recipe for disaster.
You need to catproof your home. Never put anything valuable in a place you wouldn't want it knocked down from.
Mount your pictures on the wall, away from the cat platform. (The "cat platform" is that thing you used to call your "entertainment center.") Put small, fragile valuables away. As for the lamp, maybe you can find a way to fasten the base to the shelf? Otherwise you may have to find another place for the lamp.
You have two choices. One is to try to keep litty from being kitty, making her anxious and unhappy in the process, and making yourself constantly worried about losing things you value - which will happen from time to time anyway. Your other choice is to compromise, do a bit of rearranging to keep your valuables out of danger, and allow yourself to relax and enjoy kitty's antics as much as she does.
Believe me, it will seem all too soon when kitty will be older, slower, calmer, and you'll yearn for the days when she was young and reckless and energetic.

Kittens are bouncy, curious and wild. She will grow out of it in a few more months. In the meantime actively play with her - there are strings with feathers that attach to sticks that cats love to chase as well as a flashlight beam. If you engage her in some active play she can get out some of her energies without destroying your belongings. For the curtains, the entertainment center and any place else she shouldn't be, use kitty go away spray (kitty no) which is available a pet supply places or your grocery store. It has a faint odor to humans but cats don't care for it. A squirt from a spray bottle filled with water is good when you catch her in the act - say "NO!" firmly right before you spray her.
While she's still a kitten, you may want to put away or secure anything that's fragile just like you would child proof your house for a baby. For your tiffany lamp, there's some putty stuff that museums use to keep things secure. It won't harm your lamp or your entertainment center but it will save the lamp from an accident. take the lamp off the table. Having an animal is like having a child, you have to put up things you don't want broken. Then, get yourself a squirt bottle and when you see her up there, give her a squirt. If she only does this when you are not around, try good old fashioned mouse traps. A friend of mine swears by them and leaves them on the counter tops to train her cat to stay off them. When the cat makes them snap, it startles them. Cat nip is a good idea, but if this is an all night thing, it's effects will not last that long. Remember, if your cat is just under a year - it's in it's teenage stage, and it's going to see how much it can get away with.

I wish I could help you but cats are headstrong animals and if she wants to get on top of the entertainment center she will get on top of the entertainment center.I mean you can punish her,you can try the spray thing(get a plant sprayer fill it with water and every time your cat does something she is not suppose to do spray her with a little water so she connects this thing with water in which case she will avoid it in the future) but still I don't think any of this will work, maybe she won't do it when you are around but she will do it when you are gone or not in the same room.
My suggestion remove any valuable things from there or anywhere your cat can reach and be prepared to clean a lot up,cause kittens are wild.Don't worry,in time this will get a little bit better. But still don't expect miracles ;)

I think when you go to bed or are not home you should put her in a room with the door shut make sure her liter box is in there, or if you are comfortable with her being outside do that. I don't think catnip will help it just makes my cats crazyier. Also I'm sure this is a stage you just have to wait it out. My cat Bailey was like that after they get fixed they calm down. I didn't disapline my cats when they were small so now its so hard to train them. every time your cat goes on things you dont want it on spray her with water or get a jar of pennies and shake it. Start now while its young then it wont have these bad habits. LIke mine!!

its a kitten and is behaving like a kitten
if you wanted a quiet older cat you should have gotten a quiet older cal
NO cat should be put outside because there are so many risks - especially if she isnt spayed or vaccinated yet (by the way cats can get worms from mice so make sure you deworm her regularly) outdoor cats are frequently poisoned or stollen and taken far away by neighbours they are hit by cars or in fights..
play with her lots in the day so she sleeps more at night - provide more toys and rotate them often (hiding some for 2 weeks so the cat thinks its a new toy will stimulate play) honeysuckle toys are good
get a cat tower - proper cat furniture for her to play on....
if you have to keep her in a room at night but dont punish a kitten for being a kitten

I have a kitten myself. Had to kitten proof the house, like when a parent child proofs and moves things out of the way. However, just as children need to learn not to touch, you may need to start training the kitten to use that playfulness with toys. It can be done , but it takes patience. A cats natural instinct is to climb, jump on anything that moves. I hang a cord on the door with a spool tied to it, she jumps and plays with that instead of my curtains. I have a few catnip toys that she drags all over the house. Seems to be working, but as I said patience, just as children want to play so does the kitten. Have to find other things for them to play with.

Cats loooooove to climb. A good idea is to install something they're allowed to climb, and with the suggestions of many, squirt guns work! Unless the pet likes to get wet, they always do. So like some have already mentioned, squirt the cat when it climbs where it doesn't belong; but you have to remember to let it have SOMEwhere to climb. you could make a staircase of boxes if you have to, but your cat, like most, wants to be on a high perch.

I know this will sound crazy but take foil and lay on top, of where ever you don't her to go...for some reason animals don't like it and won't jump on it... i did it on my couch and dresser and my cat stop jumping on my dresser and the dog stopped sleeping on the couch while i was gone.. ... i know it doesn't look fashionable but you don't have to leave it on there forever... and you can take it off when you are around to watch her... good luck ps... any foil will do, just the stuff you buy at the store to cover your food!
oh and also if you spray her when she does get up there all she is going to do it try to hurry and take off, and she isnt going to be careful about anything, but trying to hurry and get out of there, which means more stuff will be broken...

Try a spray bottle to spritz water on her when she does something bad. That sometimes works. My sister got a cat perch for in front of the window and that worked for her cat. Cats like a high vantage point and loking put the window is very entertaining for them.
