It means that your windows is pirated (not genuine). IF you want it to be genuine, it can be done by 2 ways: (one is legal and the other ILLEGAL). They are:
1. LEGAL WAY - Visit http://www.howtotell.com/ and validate your windows. Of cores it will say its not genuine. Then it will ask you whether you want to buy. Click it
2. ILLEGAL WAY - Some computer techs have some patches which changes your windows product key to a valid genuine key. Therefore your system becomes genuine!
It's a tough decision. Make it now

This is WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) telling you your software is a pirated version. You should ask your engineer to supply a genuine version of XP and not a copy. Good luck!

Have you registered your windows copy? (if it is legal)
If not your "engineer" provided a pirated copy and did a half assed job at it. You need a form of crack to ovveride the authetication.
Now you cand do two things: get a legal copy, or pirated on that works. (Currently legally is faster but much more expensive.)

Join the move that Microsoft.com started, as they moved all their 15,000 servers to virus free, hackerproof, Linux, in 2005.
Microsoft already had hotmail.com (purchased in 1997) and MSN.com running on 15,000 Linux computers, each. http://pclinuxos.com is the livecd you will love, with 5,000 FREE games and programs. You run it in the CD, booted in the RAM disc, so when you want, you can INSTALL by hitting the icon on the desktop, or, you simply reboot to your old virus-magnet!
