Christendom would let you believe that Jesus is God because He is part of the trinity. No where in the Bible does it say the Father and the Son and the Holy spirit is equal. No where is the trinity even mentioned. The trinity is a false teaching. Fact !
When Jesus prayed to God did he pray to himself?? No . When Jesus died, did he resurrect himself? No. Did he come to earth to teach us how to worship himself or his Father? His father.
Jesus specifically said many times that the Father is to be worshipped and prayed to, not himself (Jesus).
If the trinity is valid, why don't we ever find in the Bible that the Father pray or worship the son????
The Father always was and always will be. The son was created, he had a beginning. How then can we even fathom the idea that Jesus is equal to God Almighty? Let alone be God?!
Say the Devil didn't mislead Adam and Eve. Then Jesus would not have had to come to earth. We would then still be praying and worshipping the Father alone is it not???!!!
Adam and Eve did not even know God had a son, because they only spoke with God.
True Christians believe that They (the father and the son) are seperate beings. Each with His own personallity and his own powers. They know God by Name - Jehovah and thus use that Name in their prayers. Why would THE' one that Created and gave everything else Names be without it???
If we are made in their image: Are you and your father and your mother one person??? Nope???
The reason why Christendom believe that Jesus is God, Is because the Bibles they use has one vey important thing missing. God's name - Yahweh(hebrew) - Jehovah (english)
If you were to have a close look at the dead sea scrolls, from where all Bibles were translated, You'd find that God's name Yahweh/Jehovah, appears there over 7000 TIMES. Yet, in today's Bibles God's name has been removed.
You might still find God's name in very old Bibles - try and old king james version, even there it shows only about three times i think. All other places where God's name was present, has been replaced with, Lord or God, a tittle not a name.
Exodus 6:3 This is where you should still see tha Name of God Jehovah still appear. Get yourself a copy of the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. In that Bible God's name is vissible in all it's rightfull places. The word of God will take on a new meaning and you will come to understand MANY things anew.
By putting the Name of God back into the Bible where it is supposed to be, all scriptures suddenly takes on new meaning. Things start to make sense and nothing contradicts itself. A Bible without error.
Then it is easy to see that Jesus is NOT GOD and that the trinity is a mere figment of someones sick imagination. Billions of people are being mislead just because the Very Name of God was Removed from the Bible.
We are in actual fact worshipping the same God as the jews of old. They Called Him Yahweh/Jehovah AND NOT JESUS. How could we suddenly go from one to the other, it doesnt make sense.
It just goes to show how far the Devil is prepared to go to make sure we do not get to know our TRUE AND ALMIGHTY CREATOR, JEHOVAH OUR GOD.
Accurate knowledge is the key. It's up to you to do something about it, if you are really interrested in getting to know the Creator of all things.
Do you simply go with the flow, off into destruction, or do you choose life !?!?!?!?!?

All three. Pretty cool huh? And confusing, but let me give it a whack. What exactly is the trinity? God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit. Jesus is God the son. He is God's son, yet he is God at the same time. John 3:16 states that Jesus is God's son.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who soever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
The characteristics of God matches Jesus' characteristics!

All three. The trinity is God the father, God the son and God the Hloy Spirit. Jesus was God here on earth while he was here. Now he sits at the right hand of God.

I regard Jesus as all three.
He is as "the only begotten of the Father" (Son of God) and therefore also God. He is also part of the trinity, Jesus does what the Father wants and He sends the Holy Ghost to do certain jobs.

fadil z,
The ones that came up with the idea that Jesus is God, the Son of God, Man, and not man, God and not God, all at the same time, after reading the Bible and paying attention to both the Old Testament and the New Testament, all the statements are true.
Somehow, it works.
The Trinity:
An attempt to describe God in a poetic matter, that falls short of whatever He is.
I accept that the Trinity is a close attempt at describing God, but has to remain that, close.
