The mature ones are the ones who are open minded enough to learn where believers are coming from, and can make rational judgements for themselves. The immature ones are merely the 'cut-and-pasters' who have so little faith in their lack of faith, they need others to speak for them, and when their ideals are challenged, they become hostile.

I would have to guess that they're more accepting and respectful of people's beliefs, making them more open-minded and mature.
