wouldn't it be better just to give ur baby up for adoption instead of having an abortion??

I personally couldn't go through it, I would feel I was killing a soul, a soul that is a part of me, but I can't be as harsh as to say that it is wrong, there are special cases where it might be the best way to go, for example rape victims, it's hard to criticize something when you are not in the person's shoes.. But I do believe that there should be a specific range of cases where it's acceptable, the sad part is that many women use it because they're "not ready", they are careless and irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex, and can't even deal with the consecuences. That is the big problem, that it is used as a method for the girls convenience, without regard to morality and responsibility.

when I became pregnant (a long time ago), I was 18 and unmarried. A few people tried to talk me into an abortion, a few friends, my brother & his wife, but I don't believe in it.

Now, I am not condemming anyone that has one, however, I also think that ONE should be the limit! If you haven't learned how to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, then you should be sterilized. I have heard of women that have had 5 or 6! That is just wrong.

I am very happy that I chose to have my baby. The father and I married (because that is what we were taught was the right thing to do) and have been married almost 26 years now. Have we had problems? Sure have, even separated for 9 months. But we worked it out.

And after our son was born, we were unable to get pregnant again, so we were only blessed the once. If we had been in better financial situation, we would have adopted. We both love children and would like to have had more.

I would personally never do it unless it was necessary, but I believe it all about choice. No one should ever be forced to go through a pregnancy whether they are keeping the baby or not. Depression and other effects can cause damage to the mother and the baby if she really doesn't want to carry it. You never can just call someone a slut or a whore that deserved to be pregnant. People have many different reasons, rape, likelyhood of death of baby or mother, too old to raise another child, too young to raise a child, no money for a child or hospital care, the list goes on and on. Adoption is not always the best choice. There are so many children that will never have a family because there are too many children in the adoption services. Unless you can specifically find someone on your own, you never know what horrible life your child could have, and how psychologically damaged they may be from knowing that their mother didn't want them, that they were just a mistake. You just can't tell someone that they have to keep it, keeping could do more harm in the end. If a father can disappear out of a relationship due to pregnancy why should a woman have to suffer. Pro choice all the way.

I think abortion should be considered murder it is just horrible if you dont want to baby there is always the choice of adoption just think of what all you will be taking away from yourself and the baby when if you give it up for adoption then maybe someone else could have the joy of having their own child

i could never have an abortion, that would deprive not only the child but would deprive also yourself from one of the best gifts in life..adoption on the other hand is awkward, im adopted and its okay but its also hard,i would rather adopt to give the baby a chance but so im never put in a position where i have to make that decision i be very very very careful..why play with fire.......

God has given Gift for only ladies to give birth to a new boy/girl. Everyone should think of as a new life. aborting should be taken actions legally.

I think it's an awful option, but that our society makes it far too easy for women to choose this. If we lived in a culture that truly valued children instead of paying lip service to them, perhaps fewer women would choose to abort their babies.

abortion is wrong in my eyes to but it is not up to you or me on what other women do to there body's but i really think is if they don't want a baby they should keep there legs closed or use condoms

Wouldn't be my decision. I love my children and couldn't imagine life without them. Might be someone else's decision, though. I suppose that's what Choice is all about. I don't have to live with anyone else's choices or regrets, but my own.
