He may be moving to be in a sunnier spot, or possibly because it wasn't as comfy as it was when he first lay down. He could be roaming about to make sure "his/her" territory is safe from "enemies".
My cat would always stay on my bed the most, even though there were five others. Then he had two other favorite spots. I guess they like to be high in the air, but they also like to be on a comfortable spot. My bed was a top bunk, and I couldn't sleep on an uncomfortable mattress.

I examine someplace that cats can sleep as much as twenty hours an afternoon, the older they get the greater they sleep & this holds genuine to lions, tigers etc additionally... my cat sleeps relating to the comparable as your cat, & hes in spectacular wellness.

The cat I know always has its favorite places to nap.
Maybe the reason why your sis' cat keeps changing spots is because its' uncomfortable.

my cats sleep everywhere -- in the laundry, on the couch, on the roof (put an end to that quickly!). it seems like they like to sleep in warm, sunny, comfortable places.
