put him in a room (bathroom is good)and shut the door...we had to do that with our cat until he figured out he could just go to whatever room I wasn't cleaning

Go about your vaccum cleaning as usual, kitty will get over it in time and realize it is a normal part of life. In my life I have had two cats that enjoyed the vaccum so much they actually let me vaccum them. One of them enjoyed it so much he would lay downn in front of the hose and keep getting in my way until I did finally vaccum him. Strange but true, my son had me bring him and the vaccum cleaner to school, when he was little, for show and tell.

nicely posably the reason being that there is a twine and it makes the vaccum loud. I dont understand if thats a soulution or in all threat u can get some style of door that seperates u and the dogs so as that it basically ignores it or supply it a particular toy whilst the vaccums on i assume? i attempted So Yeah desire it works...

Cats just intinctively hate loud noises. That's why they are almost never found dead on freeways. The noise doesn't usually bother dogs as much.
All my cats (around 10 to 14 years) will go to another room when the vacuum cleaner is running. So your cat will work it out. You are very nice to run it in short spurts and reassure your cat.
I have a 22 yr old cat who is stone deaf and of course she is not bothered by the vacuum.

Just use it for short periods of time so he will get used to the noise. If you cuddle him afterwards he might feel that the noise was a bad thing and your protecting him from it. Give him a favorite toy or bring him to his food dish when your going to vacuum. Good Luck

We had a cat who would climb the window shades. Put your cat behind closed doors as far away from the vaccum cleaner as you can.

the first time we used the vaccuum after we got our 2 kittens. they couldn't get away fast enough and never saw them so puffed out. but now they are a little nervous but also curious about it too. Take it out once in a while and turn it on with him in the room maybe 10 seconds and then increase it. let him check out the vaccuum before and after every time untill he is use to it.

unfortunely, cat's have good hearing and the vacuum is way loud to em. best bet is let it hide under the bed and only vacuum one room at the same or close to it so the noise won't be long.
