Some people who climb mountains think they know it all about mountaineering and some manage to get in to Mountain Rescue Team, when that happens they think they are the best. They might wear a badge on there jacket but can they do if there's a major incident. So what do you think

If these people your talking about are in a mountain rescue team either they are qualified to be part of that team or a very able volunteer, these organisations save peoples life's every single day so I would say they do need to know what they are doing big time, maybe someone you know is bragging because they have either just qualified or are part of the volunteer team and they are sort of going over the top with their self praise, well let them we are all proud of what we have achieved in life, just be happy for them and say good luck, you never know you might need their help one day too.

well without MRT's and the support they get no one would be saved on the mountains especially in the UK, and I'm sure if they did not exist people would soon clamour for them!!! MRT's and the Search and Rescue dogs are the most welcome sight any hill walker or climber can hope to ever see, even if your just walking down safe and secure, just seeing the out training is enough to instill the confidence they know what they are doing!!!! bigheads, i doubt it just dedicated volunteers and well worth the money we give over to fund them!!

I think anyone that takes the time and energy to aquire the skills that earn them the badge is noteworthy. I really want to see what happens when they are in a situation that requires they impliment what they have learned. It's one thing to pass a test it's another thing to pass a mountianeer in need.

one million. woman mountaineers in line with risk use them on multi-week expeditions as necessary. 2. the guy would have meant "crampons" - metallic spikes that connect with the only of one's boots to furnish you purchase on snow and ice.

Don't you find this true with almost all sports. People get good and egos get bigger.
