Rar file is an extension of an compressed file.
To uncompress an rar file u need WINRAR.
Winrar can be downloaded from
Winrar 3.6beta 8 Size: 1104 KB

RAR is the native format of WinRAR archiver. After you downloaded RAR file from Internet, you need to unpack its contents in order to use it.
Compression is done to reduce the size of the files.

for extracting files with .rar extension, u need to install the winrar or zipgenuis on ur sys... and then,
-- right click on the .rar file(s) and select the options
"extract files..." or
"extract here" or
"extract to filename\"
-- thatz it!! ur .rar files hav been extracted succesfully and
u can open them now!!!
