Hi Richard,

What a polite question!
Well as long as it seems to be running OK and you're using it with no problems it should be OK.

If you're a beginner, one thing you can do about once a month is defragment your disk, this will keep it running better than if you never do it.

START/All Prgrams/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmentor.

Hope this helps, and if your not a novice sorry if i sounded patronising!!

Good luck,
Lindsay x

Hi Richard, I'm Neil.
Can you use it? Are you using it now? These could be clues.
Are you worried about a virus? Run a virus scan.
Run error checking from the system tools. That kind of thing.

You can run utilities like Norton System Works or AIDA. You can make a virus, spy scan and harddisk check using windows facility. If you don't know how, use START>Run: chkdsk

If your computer boots fast and shuts down fast, then there is no problem with the computer.

Better you install good anti-virus and anti-spyware. If you are using office XP keep your system updated.
