Ive been asked to do a 40Th birthday cake with a music the am,have you any ideas,or is there a site to visit?

It depends what sort of music- like pop or classical, does he play, or enjoy listening. You could get a band photo from a mag printed onto a cake at most supermarkets, or an album cover, or get black squeezy icing and ice a stave and musical notes, make it shaped like his intrument, or a microphone

Why not bake on large round cake, and one rectangle thinner one. Put them next to eachother with the end of the rectangle touching the circle, thus creating the shape of a banjo? put proper bought icing over the top to make it look like one large cake. You could create long lines from one end to the other like strings.

You should maybe think alond the line of something 60s... ie the beatles. A cake looking like the beatles drum would be quite a good idea.
