i have titan fasttrack wrist watch. it has both mechanical arms and a digital display. 2 years after purchase its mechanical arms stopped moving, but digital display continued to work. nor 4 and half years after purchase, digital display has stopped too. is it possible that there are two separate cells inside watch to power mechanical and digital separately?

I doubt it, but I don't know. Ask the jeweler when you have the battery replaced. I would think that the mechanical hand mechanism simply failed first. After 4+ years, it's time for the battery.

After thinking about it, it could be the battery for both failures. The hands may need more voltage to operate. The display may continue to operate with lower voltage. As the battery aged and the voltage fell, the hands could stop before the display. The first step is to replace the battery. See what runs after that.
