No, minimum # strikes to examine mate is 3, and in elementary terms happens in case you have the two: an exceedingly in comparison to, naive noob of an opponent; or you are trying to illustrate the three-flow checkmate, wherein case the occasion is a pathological case of demonstrating how stunning you're at chess by utilising regurgitating a nicely-primary fake pas.

easy. if you're playing the white pieces:

1) move the fourth pawn from the right one place up (e2 to e3).
this is the pawn right in front of the king.
2) move the queen diagonally to the right two places (d1 to f3).
this would land her on the white box in front of the third
pawn from the right, right next to the first pawn you moved.
3) move the bishop on the right three white boxes to the left (f1
to c4).
4) capture the third black pawn from the right (f7) with your
queen (f3 white to f7 white of opponent's side).
5) provided the opponent did not move any of the chess pieces surrounding the black king on the left side of the board, this is now a CHECKMATE.

if you're playing the black pieces, the moves are the same, except that your orientation has been changed:

1) e7 to e6
2) d1 to f6
3) f1 to c5
4) f6 to f2

Tickle the other player and then, while they're not looking (while they're doubling over in laughter), rearrange the pieces on the board to a classic end-game scenario you know that gives them no choice but to lose. Questions?
