She is diabetic therefore needs to take insulin with her, she has a prescription is this enough proof for her to bring it on, and what measures should she take aftrer everything thats has occured today?

you would need to directly speak to the airport/airline office and work this out... get a written notification also ready to take with you.. it mught be tougher than usual, but not impossible

She needs get a doctors letter from her doctor, ring up the airline to inform them of the matter and call up the embassy in your country to check what procedures and cautions your friend needs to know and take.

Other than that everything should be fine, if your travelling to a remote area that is.

just read the news and they say u obvioulsy can take essential medicines. is her diabetes stable or unstable? not sure about the prescription - hasnt she been away before? think u willl need to get professional advice if thats enough...she doesnt want to be caught short.

That depends on where you are. In the US, you can bring insulin as well as the syringes with you onboard. You just have to ensure that you follow the TSA's instructions for transporting the medication.

Yes that is allowed. I am an airline employee. Just ask her NOT to leave the needle in the back seat pocket. YES, AIRLINE EMPLOYEES HAVE PUT THERE HANDS IN THE SEAT POCKETS AS WELL AS PASSENGERS and have gotten pricked by the needle. and have to immidiatly go to the hospital, it happens daily.
