It is the best religion without doubt....That is why it is the fastest growing religion in United States.

"And behold Allah (God) will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah (God) He will say-"Glory to you I could never say what I had no right (to say')" (Surah Al-Ma'idah- 5:116)

Nor did he worship himself when he worshipped but rather he worshipped Allah. This basic principle is enshrined in the opening chapter of the Qur'an, known as Surah Al-Fatihah, verse 4:

"You alone do we worship and from you alone do we seek help".

Elsewhere, in the final book of revelation, the Qur'an, Allah (God)also said:

"And your Lord says: "Call on Me and I will answer your prayer).
"(Surah Ghafir 40:60)

it is worth noting that the basic message of Islam is that Allah and His creation are distinctly different entities. Neither is Allah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him.

This might seem obvious, but, man's worship of creation instead of the Creator is to a large degree based on ignorance of this concept. It is the belief that the essence of Allah is everywhere in His creation or that His divine being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation though such worship maybe called the worship of Allah through his creation. How ever, the message of Islam as brought by the prophets of Allah is to worship only Allah and to avoid the worship of his creation either directly or indirectly. In the Qur'an Allah clearly states:

"For We assuredly sent amongst every people a prophet, with the command) worship me and avoid false gods " (Surah Al-Nahl 16:36)

When the idol worshipper is questioned as to why he or she bows down to idols created by men, the invariable reply is that they are not actually worshipping the stone image, but Allah who is present within it. They claim that the stone idol is only a focal point for Allah's essence and is not in itself Allah! One who has accepted the concept of the presence of God's being within His creation in any way will be obliged to accept this argument of idolatry. Whereas, one who understands the basic message of Islam and its implications would never concede to idolatry no matter how it is rationalized. Those who have claimed divinity for themselves down through the ages have often based their claims on the mistaken belief that Allah is present in man. They merely had to assert that although Allah according to their false beliefs, is in all of us, He is more present in them than in the rest of us. Hence, they claim, we should submit our will to them and worship them as they are either God in person or God concentrated within the person.

Similarly, those who have asserted the godhood of others after their passing have found fertile ground among those who accept the false belief of God's presence in man. One who has grasped the basic message of Islam and its implications could never agree to worship another human being under any circumstances. God's religion in essence is a clear call to the worship of the Creator and the rejection of creation-worship in any form. This is the meaning of the motto of Islam:

"Laa Elaha lal lah" (There is no god but Allah)
Its repetition automatically brings one within the fold of Islam and sincere belief in it guarantees one Paradise.

Thus, the final Prophet of Islam is reported to have said, "Any one who says: There is no god but Allah and dies holding that (belief) will enter paradise". Reported by Abu Dharr and collected by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

It consists in the submission to Allah as one God, yielding to Him by obeying His commandments, and the denial of polytheism and polytheists.

Personally, despite having studied religion, I am an agnostic, and I think that all religions have good points. I think it is upsetting that islam has unfortunatley inherited a bad name as the religion is very peaceful, however I believe that no religion is better than other and infact a lot of religions are strongly connected.

Í also think Islam is the best religion. I wasn't born muslim, I am an american, born and raised Christian. I started to study Islam in my early 20's and felt that it was right, so I converted. I think people should read about it and study before they make judgements on it.

It seems to be a very peaceful religion despite the bad rap in the Middle East, but my question is, does anyone in Islam read the Bible?

i hate it. the clerics marry 3 month old babies, marry 21 women, and treat the women like trash. marriages are arranged.

the punishment for being gay.. hanged, stoned, rolled down a cliff until death, or thrown off a big building.

they want death to jews. my muslim friend said in the mosque, they chant "death to israel" and "death to America" IN AMERICA.

i hate this religion. any time i think about it i want to throw up. i have a terrible feeling inside me.

i am a democrat too, a tolerant political party.

i will do everything i can to stop the growth of islam in our nation.

Why don't I hear of the "nice" Muslims working with America to get rid of the "bad" Muslims. There should be a riot by the Muslims against the extremists if love is truly part of your faith. How many people must die before you stand against terror.

'Allah' is depicted in the Qur'an as an evil, sadistic monster:

[2:126] "As for him who disbelieveth, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the doom of Fire"

[4:56] Lo! Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment.

8:14 That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.

10:4 ...as for those who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling drink and painful doom because they disbelieved.

17:10 And that those who believe not in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful doom.

18:29 Say: (It is) the truth from the Lord of you (all). Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!

22:19 These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, Disbelievers will wear garments of fire, boiling fluid will be poured on their heads, their bellies and skin will be melted, they will be tormented with iron hooks, and when they try to escape they will be driven back with the taunt: Taste the doom of burning.
22:20 Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted;
22:21 And for them are hooked rods of iron.
22:22 Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning.

... And so on, and on, and on, and on, ad nauseum. Utterly vile.

Why would anyone want to follow that?
