Cause the fu*kers think that they are doing it in the name of God. They think that God commands them to kill/convert the unbelievers and that they will be rewarded for their deeds...because thats how they interpret some of the words of the Q'uran.
Religious loonatics like them (but not limited to them, just look at some of the preachers in the USA like Falwell and Robinson) will always use God to justify their stupidity, their hate and their arrogance until the day they die when instead of seeing God they're gonna see Satan in Hell with their fu*kbuddies Hitler and Al-Zarqawi.

They are crazy enough to think that god is watching their every word, and are afraid that if they say "we will win" that that is arrogant and that god will feel threatened by you trying to actually accomplish something rather than god doing it for you.
It is like thinking that god is a parent that is standing over you all the time, and if you kiss his butt enough, then he might let you do what you want.

Humans tend to point fingers, and they are usually unwilling to take responsibilities for their own actions.
They use religion and god as a cover-up for their own interest. This may attract others into joining them when they know its in the name of God or its in his will!
It also makes it easier for them to justify their acts!

They believe that what they are doing is right in the eyes of the lord.
That is why the keep repeating those words when killing people...
They have been brought up with such a thinking and in a mindless society of guns and knifes ....not books and internet...
I truly am disgust with their actions...

Well, Its bit sensitive question. As per their religious books, they need to protect their religion. While protecting, they shouldn’t bother lives. There is no definition for PROTECTION. They strongly believe that people from other religion are the threats for their religion. So instead of protecting they are attacking. It may be a preemptive attack.

I hate that they do that to... but to be fair and impartial...
When someone drops a bomb on the home of a terrorist and kills all of their children, they say that "it was God's will" too.
So, I guess they didn't mean to be offensive, its just their worldview that ANYTHING that happens, bad or good, is God's will.
Thats just them. Just like how we say "oh crap" to anything bad that happens to others or ourselves. Terrorist speak - "God willing" = Normal person speak - "oh crap".

They attempt to convince themselves that what they are during is truly for the benefit of the world. After all, America is "The Great Satan" to them, so it makes sense that they think what they are during (eliminating a great evil) is just.
Also, they do that to delude others to join their cause.
