MOTH BALLS dogs cant stand it and Pepper spray

errr.. How do they get in your garage?

CLEAN WITH VINEGAR:

Anyway, moth ball crud, .. when you clean it up.. use vinegar. 20 parts water, 1 part vinegar. It'll neutralize the smell so the dog won't want to go in the same spot, etc.

USE PEPPER:

What we use.. for our dog.. is really simple. Pepper. We sprinkle pepper in the places she digs.. no more digging. It's really easy. It's a strong scent that they usually can't handle so they go sniff somewhere else.

What also works, is a animal trap and the pound. I've done it with a couple of neighbor cats. We have a pound that doesn't put any animals to sleep if they have room for them. I'm sorry, but I hate the irresponsible pet owners.

The same stuff that works against skunks &raccoons - - - it is like pepper spray only liquid - - - liquid cayenne or clove oil - - - clove oil is expensive but in highly concentrated form it can be deadly. Here is a cheap easy way to cope with the problem. Get a gallon bottle of the hottest Tobassco type sause, actually there is a Rooster Brank of Hot Sause that is popular with Asians - - take bottle and hook it up to something like a wagner power sprayer - - - and blast the dog when he comes to cop a squat - - -he'll get the hint - - - also imagine cop a squat on grass glistening with hot sauce - - we're talking raw hole - - - just don't get the humane society upset. Peace.

Cayenne pepper has always worked for me. Also get creative, you need something to scare the God out of them. If you could find something that will catch them off guard and they can't see you or know you aren't around they'll be reluctant to go there again even if told to. Nothing that will harm them of course.

Why are the dogs running lose in the first place? Most places have leash laws to prevent things like this from happening. Have a chat with the neighbor, and have THEM take care of their dogs

Unfortunately only special solutions can take out the smell. Instead of poison, that would make us sad :), the petstore sells a cleaner called natures way that is very good at removing the odor.

You can buy napthelene flakes (which mothballs are made from) from the supermarket.

Or make a spray of water and an pure essential oil (tea tree oil, peppermint, eucalyptus).

Try scattering freshly grated pepper also.
