Go to www.akc.org, look up the breed you are interested in, and they should have links to recognized breeders.
Or just search for the breed on google, and a list of breeders will come up.

Try looking at www.crufts.co.uk. or it may be www.crufts.com not to sure. Its the biggest dog show in the world. It was founded by the kennel club. You may get some good ideas on what breed your looking for. Hope this helped.

Try doing a search on a search engine for the particular breed you want and go from there.
