For example: some people call other people names and are abusive... but when they are called a name, or get the same treatment they just dished out.... then they act like they can't believe that anyone would act in such a manner towards them. They even go so far as to get revenge. No body likes a hypocrite.

I think most of them know they are hypocrites. They just hope the rest of us are too stupid to notice. Most hypocrites have such high opinions of themselves that they think they can get away with crap like that, but the rest of us can't.

When you are talking about hypocrites, I think they'd be grown people. Then they have been behaving like that till now, of course they know that they are two faced. But it just might be that no one showed them up for what they really are, they just don't care or that it's become second nature with them. I'd like to add that if we tolerate someone who is a hypocrite and do not say anything, or criticise them, or shame them, and we wax eloquent about hating hypocrites, then we are being hypocrites ourselves. There are people who are non confrontational, passive, down right apathetic or laugh at others misfortunes when affected by a hypocrite, they are the biggest perpetrators. The hypocrite will go his/her merry way being that way. So even if you respect, love, adore someone, say something, stand up to them, someday you might be at the receiving end of it, and then no one else is going to look out for you.

I know when I'm ACTING like a hypocrite. No one can be titled a hypocrite cause there are times when he/she isn't one! The more obnoxious ppl don't know(or don't accept to be called) they're hypos.

Some hypocrites know they are hypocrites but are satisfied as long as others do not know. Other hypocrites do not realize that they are hypocrites. No one likes hypocrites and no one respects them either.

They usually can't see the stuff they do and that's why they only throw mud at other people. These are not hopeless! However the ones who do know they are hypocrites and persist.... well all I can say is: don't vote for them!
PS Even if they do know they don't care!
